MEDS operates a renowned network of emergency physician and APP peers across both rural and urban communities in the Midwest. As a physician-owned practice founded in 1983, MEDS offers the care standards found in larger health systems while maintaining the personalized service of private practice. Our physicians continue to practice in hospital emergency departments and hospitalist roles in addition to serving in leadership roles. With a focus on expanding access and raising quality standards, MEDS providers leverage their expertise to provide compassionate, patient-centered emergency care to both rural and metro populations. Our physicians are deeply embedded within the communities they serve, working closely with hospital staff and administrators to collaboratively solve challenges. MEDS is an independent, physician-owned Emergency Medicine group and is pleased to announce the availability of a premier quality of life opening for an Emergency Medicine Physician in Central Nebraska. We are looking for ABEM or board certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians with demonstrated EM experience to join our stable, privately owned group.

- ACS Designated Level 2 Trauma Center
- EMS Service with full Flight Team
- 14 bed ED with a dedicated trauma suite
- 14K volume
- Epic EMR
CHI Health Good Samaritan is a Level II Trauma Center, all multi-specialties available including Interventional Cardiology, CT Surgery, Vascular Surgery, GI, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Ortho and 24/7 Hospitalist Team.
The community of Kearney has a population of approximately 32,000, with many rural citizens seeking their care and services here. University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) is located in the community and bring in ongoing growth to the city and surrounding area.
Kearney is filled with historical and cultural museums and family-friendly activities. Unique shopping venues are featured in downtown Kearney, “The Bricks” and at the Hilltop Mall.
