About the role

What your day could look like

As Pharmacist Team Leader, you'll play a key role in delivering safe, evidence-based care that improves patient outcomes across the health service. From guiding complex clinical decisions to supporting the development of pharmacy staff, you'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to strengthen services and make a lasting impact on the community.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Leading a team to deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services that support safe and effective patient care.
  • Providing expert medication management advice and partnering with clinicians to solve complex patient care challenges.
  • Driving service improvements, quality initiatives and practice enhancements that strengthen outcomes and efficiency.
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing pharmacists, assistants and learners to build capability across the service.

Let's Talk About You

You're a capable and approachable leader who brings clinical expertise, sound judgement and a genuine commitment to helping others succeed. You thrive in fast-paced healthcare environments, build trusted relationships and use your experience to guide teams through complex challenges. You'll take pride in improving services, supporting safer care and creating opportunities for others to grow. Most importantly, you'll embody the Darling Downs Health values of Compassion, Integrity, Dignity, Innovation and Courage in everything you do.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA and relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Advanced clinical pharmacy experience with strong knowledge of contemporary medication management practices.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop teams while fostering a positive and collaborative culture.
  • Highly developed communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field and/or experience leading service improvement, research or quality-use-of-medicines initiatives.

Make a meaningful impact through clinical leadership that advances patient care, supports your team and reflects the values of Darling Downs Health.
