Role Overview

We are looking for a highly analytical and mission-driven People Data Analyst to join our HR team. In this role, you will leverage data to inform critical decisions about our workforce, improve employee experience, and drive organizational effectiveness.

You will operate as both a data expert and a strategic partner—working cross-functionally with People, Finance, and business leaders to translate complex data into actionable insights. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to directly influence how organizations scale and perform.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and data models that provide visibility into key people metrics (headcount, attrition, engagement, performance, DEI)
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across HR systems
  • Develop scalable data pipelines and reporting frameworks
  • Analyze workforce data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Partner with leadership to inform decisions on hiring, retention, and organizational design
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses and clear recommendations
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of people programs (performance reviews, engagement initiatives, learning & development)
  • Collaborate with HRIS and engineering teams to improve data architecture and accessibility
  • Automate manual reporting processes
  • Establish best practices for data governance and documentation

Basic Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or people analytics
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for modeling and analysis
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in People Analytics, HR, or organizational data
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, Greenhouse, Lever)
  • Experience with Python or R for advanced analytics
  • Understanding of statistics, experimentation, and forecasting methods
  • Experience in high-growth or operationally intensive environments

Why CHAOS?

  • Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision benefits 100% paid for by the company
  • Additional benefits: 401k (+ 50% company match up to 6% of pay), FSA, HSA, life insurance, and more
  • Our Perks: Free daily lunch, ‘No meeting Fridays’, unlimited PTO, casual dress code
  • Compensation Components: Competitive base salaries, generous pre-IPO stock option grants, relocation assistance, and (coming soon!) annual bonuses
  • Team Growth: 250 employees and counting across 5 global offices

Salary Range: $88,000 - $121,000

The stated compensation range reflects only the targeted base compensation range and excludes additional earnings such as bonus, equity, and benefits. If your compensation requirements fall outside of the range, we still encourage you to apply. The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
