Overview

As a People Business Partner at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), you will partner with a fast-paced, high-volume customer obsessed business area. This role is first and foremost about case ownership: you will manage a steady, high-volume caseload of employee relations matters end to end, while keeping quality, consistency and commercial focus high. You will be the go-to partner for operational and Trading leaders on day-to-day people issues, spotting patterns in your cases and turning them into practical fixes that reduce repeat issues. You will work closely with the PBP Director and the wider People team to deliver a fantastic, consistent employee experience at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage a high volume of employee relations cases end to end, including performance management, conduct, attendance, grievances, and policy matters
  • Conduct thorough, timely and impartial investigations; gather evidence, interview parties, and write clear findings and recommendations
  • Prioritize and triage a busy caseload, balancing urgency, risk and service levels, and keeping cases moving to agreed timelines
  • Advise and coach managers through difficult conversations, disciplinary and performance processes, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes
  • Apply policy and employment law with commercial focus, and escalate complex or high-risk cases to senior People leaders and Legal when appropriate
  • Track and report on case volumes, themes and trends; use the data to identify root causes and recommend preventative actions
  • Partner with the wider People team on programs and initiatives that support the operational workforce

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a HR Generalist, HR business partner or employee relations experience, with a strong track record of owning and closing cases
  • Experience managing a high-volume ER caseload, ideally supporting an operational, contact center, customer service, or shift-based workforce
  • Hands-on investigation experience, including interviewing, weighing evidence, and writing clear, well-reasoned reports
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR policy, and the confidence to apply it consistently
  • Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Calm, resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly
  • Sound judgment and strong emotional intelligence to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to coach managers and deliver difficult messages
  • Comfortable using data to spot trends and inform decisions; experience with HRIS or case management tools a plus
  • Experience improving processes or building playbooks to drive efficiency and consistency a plus
  • Open to regular travel to events and other Fanatics offices for various offsite and team meetings
  • Have strong business acumen and commercial awareness

If you possess some of these skills but not all of them, we still encourage you to apply!
