About the role

Since 2004, we’ve been bringing investment ideas to life and connecting capital with the right people and opportunities. Today, we manage more than £2.5 billion for a broad range of investors across five key investment strategies: Private Credit, Social Housing, Clean Heat, Energy and Venture. These strategies underpin the innovative range of investments we offer to both private (retail) and institutional clients.

There are 230+ employees at Triple Point, all committed to leaving the world demonstrably better than we found it. That’s why we’re a certified B Corp, signed up to the Principles for Responsible Investment, and were named a Sunday Times 'Best Places to Work 2025 & 2026'.

If this sounds like an environment where you would flourish, then read on…

The Function & Team

Triple Point Specialty Finance provides revolving credit facility (RCF) warehouse funding to UK alternative lenders, supplying liquidity and capital to parts of the non-bank lending market that might otherwise be underserved. It's a fast-growing division within Triple Point Private Credit and is a strong opportunity for someone from a structured finance, capital markets or securitisation background, with a working knowledge of LMA documentation, to take genuine ownership of deals from origination through to Credit Committee and completion.

Key Responsibilities& The Role

As an Origination Director, you'll own a portfolio of asset-backed facility relationships end-to-end: sourcing and structuring new transactions, leading Credit Committee presentations, and managing your book through legal completion and beyond. You'll lead new transactions, represent Triple Point at industry events, and help broaden the introducer network that feeds the wider team's pipeline.

Beyond your own deals, you'll be a visible market voice internally, and supporting colleagues on complex or strategic opportunities across the existing portfolio. The team is currently building out new capabilities, including Forward Flow, mezzanine and incubator strategies, so there is real scope to help shape where Specialty Finance goes next rather than simply execute what's already established.

  • Transaction Delivery: Lead the end-to-end structuring and delivery of a minimum of three new money debt transactions a year, for both new and existing Triple Point borrowers, from origination through to legal completion.
  • Credit Committee & Relationship Management: Present transactions to Credit Committee and manage relationships with the management teams of new and existing borrowers throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Origination & Market Profile: Build and maintain a network of borrowers and intermediaries; represent Triple Point at a minimum of four industry or sector events a year to build the Specialty Finance profile and broaden the introducer base.
  • Portfolio & Risk Monitoring: Analyse borrower financials, loan portfolios and borrowing base information to identify, communicate and challenge early warning signs; ensure internal risk and portfolio reporting, including Aspire, is accurate and complete at all times.
  • Market Knowledge & Internal Insight: Maintain current knowledge of the UK Specialty Finance and asset-backed finance markets, including products, competitors, pricing and opportunity, and share this with Credit, RST and Management to increase internal awareness of the sector.
  • Supporting the Wider Team: Support on complex or strategic opportunities within the existing portfolio, and help mentor more junior colleagues (Associate Directors, Portfolio Managers) in deal skills and credit judgement.

Experience

  • Specialty Finance Experience: Extensive experience in lending and loan documentation across a bank or non-bank environment, including a minimum of 3 years in Specialty Finance or a related field such as structured finance, capital markets or securitisation, with a particular focus on asset-backed financing.
  • Deal Leadership: Track record of leading transactions end-to-end, including preparing and presenting detailed credit applications for new money transactions, ideally from a front-office debt origination or structuring role.
  • Financial Analysis & Modelling: Strong proficiency in Excel for analysing financial models, loan tapes and financial statements, including sensitivity analysis and portfolio wind-down scenarios; ability to read and analyse company accounts, management information and forecasts.
  • Negotiation: A confident, independent negotiator, able to identify Triple Point's non-negotiable terms while finding solutions that keep borrowers engaged.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills, comfortable presenting to Credit Committee and managing workflows across multiple external parties, including borrowers and legal counsel.
  • Stakeholder Management: A strong relationship-builder, both internally (Credit, Risk, Portfolio, Management) and externally (borrowers, brokers, advisers, private equity firms).
  • Education: Degree level, ideally supported by a professional qualification in accountancy, banking or risk management.

Personal Qualities

How You'll Work — Our Values in Action

  • Stay Curious: You ask questions that change how we do things and spot ideas to grow assets or fee income in new ways; you keep a genuine pulse on market conditions, competitor activity and investor appetite.
  • Be Generous: You share your network and market knowledge freely, and help more junior colleagues develop their deal and credit skills.
  • Thoughtful Action: You balance commercial acumen with risk management, identifying issues and pain points ahead of time and simplifying complexity for others.
  • Pull Together: You collaborate across Credit, RST and Management, staying aware of the team's capacity constraints and stepping in to help where useful.
  • Own It: You take full accountability for your transactions and portfolio, acting as a steward of Triple Point's capital from origination through to completion.
