About the role

About the role

As a Senior Oral Health Therapist, you will deliver advanced oral health clinical services across a variety of community and hospital-based settings while providing day-to-day clinical supervision and support to less experienced oral health practitioners. Working within Metro North Oral Health Services, you will apply independent clinical judgement to complex caseloads and contribute to the delivery of evidence-based oral health care for eligible patients.

You will also play a key leadership role in service improvement, workforce development, education and research initiatives. This includes mentoring clinicians and students, contributing to quality improvement activities, supporting service planning, and helping to shape contemporary oral health practices and protocols across the School Dental Service.

This role is located across Strathpine, Kallangur, Kippa-Ring, Caboolture, and other locations across Metro North.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Deliver high-level oral health therapy services across diverse and complex caseloads, using evidence-based practice and independent clinical judgement.
  • Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and education to oral health practitioners, students, assistants and support staff.
  • Contribute to service planning, caseload management and the delivery of high-quality oral health services within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement, research and innovation initiatives that enhance clinical outcomes and service delivery.
  • Provide expert clinical advice to stakeholders and maintain accurate patient records and service activity data to support reporting and service evaluation.

Benefits when working for us

  • Rewarding career and development opportunities across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical areas
  • Value driven organisation which provides a work environment that is safe, satisfying, flexible, and promotes a healthy work-life balance
  • Flexible working arrangements and competitive salary rates with annual incremental increases
  • Benefit from a higher than standard employer contribution to Superannuation of up to 12.75% and access to salary packaging

Metro North Health offers a dynamic and progressive environment at the forefront of healthcare, research, and education. With a strong commitment to inclusion, flexibility, and professional development, we provide meaningful opportunities in a workplace that puts people first.
