About the role

At Parallel, we build AI agents that help healthcare organizations automate their administrative processes and unlock additional revenue, starting with medical coding.

Today, up to 25% of healthcare spending is lost to manual, repetitive administrative tasks. Legacy software hasn't helped: it has made work slower, more complex and more frustrating for care teams.

We believe AI agents can change this. Our technology combines large language models with system-level automation to do real work inside existing hospital tools. No integration, no disruption.

Our first agent automates coding and frees up time for medical teams to focus on patients.

We launched in 2024 and already have 800+ customers and a team of 30+ people. We are backed by top-tier investors (Index Ventures, Y Combinator, Hexa, Frst, Kima Ventures, Better Angle and the CEO of Mistral AI), and this is just the beginning.

The future of healthcare isn't just digital, it's automated. Come help us build it!

The role

At Parallel, we work with a team of 25+ freelance TIMs (medical information technicians) on different tasks, in particular retrieving medical documents from our partner facilities’ software. This is a core part of Parallel. With fast, secure access to our partner facilities’ data, we code the first hospital stays within a few days and prove Parallel’s ROI. Then we automate document extraction so we can scale.

As Ops Associate, you support the Ops team on managing freelancers and on cross-functional Ops projects. You take ownership of critical operational topics end to end and contribute directly to Parallel’s growth. You work daily with our Head of Ops, the Deployment Strategists, Customer Care and our freelance TIMs.

You’re in charge of staffing and managing our network of freelance TIMs and become their main point of contact, working directly with our Head of Ops. You also work on cross-functional projects that structure Ops as Parallel scales. It’s a chance to see first-hand how a generative AI solution is deployed in hospitals, and to experience a startup’s scale-up from the inside.

What you’ll do

Staffing and management of freelance TIMs

You’re responsible for the network of freelance TIMs who support our clients. You make sure the right person is on the right assignment, at the right time, within a compliant framework.

  • Sourcing and recruiting: identify, qualify and recruit new TIMs based on needs (specialties, facilities, volume).
  • Staffing assignments: assign TIMs to client accounts, anticipate workload peaks and manage priorities.
  • Onboarding: train new TIMs on the Parallel tool and our ways of working.
  • Monitoring: centralize assignment tracking and manage the team’s performance.
  • Contracts and compliance: keep freelance contracts up to date, in line with our ISO 27001 and HDS requirements (data access, confidentiality).

Cross-functional Ops projects

You support the Ops team on cross-functional projects to make processes more robust and scalable. For example, you could:

  • Compliance and security: contribute to the ISO 27001 and HDS certification project on the Ops side (registers, evidence, access reviews, contracts).
  • Processes and documentation: keep client training notes up to date and improve internal playbooks (deployment, support).

Who we’re looking for

  • You’re looking for your first permanent job, or possibly an end-of-studies internship (with the goal of staying with us on a permanent contract).
  • You’re rigorous: you organize yourself, prioritize, and follow your topics through to the end.
  • You have strong people skills: you can adapt to profiles very different from yours, explain technical topics and bring a team along.
  • You’re comfortable in a tech environment and like understanding how software works so you can help others use it.
  • You’re autonomous: when you’re given an assignment, you figure out how to set up the right processes and resources to get it done.

Why join us?

  • Real impact: our agents free hospital teams from administrative work.
  • A central role: you work with Ops, Product, Tech and the field teams.
  • Room to grow: we’re hiring for this role to help someone grow with us over time.
  • The right time: Series A closed, product already used by ~100 hospitals, a fast-growing team.
  • The package: Alan health insurance, Swile, Apple equipment, 50% of transport covered, a team event every month and two off-sites a year.
  • Our offices: Paris 2nd arrondissement, boulevard de Sébastopol.
  • Flexibility: on average one day of remote work per week, and one remote week per year.

The process

  1. Call with Léa, Talent Lead (30 min)
  2. Call with Clémentine, Head of Ops and your future manager (30 min)
  3. Case study with Clémentine and Jules and meeting with Paul, CEO
  4. Offer

We care about who you are, not just what's on your CV.

If you're drawn to what we're building but don't meet every requirement, we still want to hear from you. Studies show that women in particular tend to apply only when they meet 100% of the criteria. If that's you, please don't let that hold you back. We'd love to receive your application.
