The Opportunity

As Silna experiences explosive growth, we're seeking a talented Operations hire to join our team in NYC. Operations is core to Silna, and the notoriously opaque world of insurance operations needs someone who can build and optimize the processes that make everything run seamlessly. This role offers the chance to work hands-on, design workflows that matter, and drive real-world impact from day one—all while collaborating closely across our lean, high-performing team.

As an early member of our Operations team, you'll work on transforming complex insurance workflows into streamlined, scalable operations. One one side, you'll create SOPs that set our team of insurance specialists up for success while supporting our expansion across states, payers, and specialties. You'll also work closely and have the opportunity to manage our specialist teams, partner with engineering on automation opportunities by applying AI to solve real world problems. This is a unique chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business and the lives we touch, all within a data-first, startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

Complex Problem Solving, Process Design, & Optimization

  • Design and optimize core workflows for eligibility checks, benefit verifications, and prior authorizations
  • Work with engineering to identify areas of opportunity for automation in operational processes, and use cutting-edge technology and apply AI-first solutions to automate key workflows
  • Create SOPs that ensure consistent, accurate task completion across our operations team
  • Configure rules and frameworks for accomplishing tasks both automatically and manually

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead our team of insurance specialists, providing guidance and ensuring operational excellence
  • Partner with engineering to identify automation opportunities and design scalable systems
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and sales teams to align on goals and achieve shared outcomes

Data & Systems Thinking

  • Build robust tracking systems that provide visibility into operational performance
  • Analyze data to develop strategies for accelerating progress and achieving team OKRs
  • Identify areas for improvement and drive execution of solutions that address core business challenges

What Sets You Apart

Experience & Skills

  • 1-4+ years of experience in operations, consulting, or related fields—experience with insurance workflows or healthcare operations is a plus but not necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes in complex and ambiguous environments
  • Strong experience creating processes that scale with growing organizations
  • Project management skills with a track record of leading initiatives from concept to execution
  • Data-driven approach with ability to analyze workflows and identify inefficiencies

Character & Mindset

  • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and is comfortable navigating the complexity of insurance processes
  • Systems thinker with a passion for automating and scaling solutions to simplify insurance-related challenges
  • Collaborative by nature, working effectively across small teams to achieve shared goals
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on operational excellence and accuracy
  • Solution-oriented with the ability to design solutions that deliver tangible results
  • Mission-driven with genuine care about making a difference in the lives of providers and patients

About Silna

Healthcare is obsessed with optimizing a broken system. We're making sure it never breaks.

Silna Health attacks the root cause of denied claims: the fragmented, incompatible systems that govern prior authorizations, eligibility verification, and benefit checks, turning workflows that used to take days into decisions made in minutes, before care is ever delivered.

We work across behavioral health, physical health, ambulatory care, and post-acute care, where administrative failure doesn't just cost money; it can delay or deny patient access entirely. We're backed by Accel and Bain Capital Ventures, and we're building fast.

Why Join Silna

  • Ground-floor opportunity to build foundational operations at a rapidly growing startup
  • Work directly with the founding team and influence company direction
  • Competitive compensation package including equity
  • Chance to make a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery through operational excellence
  • Fast-paced, dynamic environment that rewards initiative and results
  • Opportunity to solve complex problems alongside brilliant colleagues

This role is perfect for someone who loves building systems from scratch, thrives in fast-paced environments, and wants to be instrumental in transforming how healthcare providers interact with insurance. If you're ready to join a mission-driven company that's revolutionizing healthcare administration through operational excellence, we want to talk to you.

What We Offer

  • A rapid-paced work environment with an incredibly enthusiastic and motivated team
  • The opportunity to work with customers that actually love the product
  • The ability to work on technology that is materially improving health outcomes
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package
  • 401k
  • Unlimited PTO

Location

This role is fully in-person 5 days a week in our New York City office.
