About Kolmac

Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health specializes in evidence-based mental health and substance use treatment. We operate on the belief that when clinicians feel supported, patients get better outcomes. That means realistic caseloads, collaborative teams, and leadership that listens.

We're expanding our mental health programs and looking for a skilled, compassionate therapist ready to do some of the most meaningful clinical work of their career.

What the Role Looks Like Day-to-Day

As a Mental Health Therapist at Kolmac, you will be at the center of patient care—building strong therapeutic relationships and delivering high-quality, evidence-based treatment. You'll hold a blend of individual and group therapy, approximately 50–65% of your time in direct patient care with adults. The rest is split across documentation, treatment team collaboration, and case management.

Your core clinical responsibilities

  • Deliver individual and group psychotherapy using CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma-informed approaches
  • Lead process, psychoeducational, and skills-based groups focused on emotional regulation, coping, and mental wellness
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and level-of-care determinations
  • Develop and maintain person-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and peers in interdisciplinary team meetings and case consultations
  • Support patients in understanding their diagnoses and building insight for long-term recovery
  • Provide care coordination with families, referral sources, and external providers
  • Complete clinical documentation accurately and on time

Required

  • Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
  • Strong working knowledge of CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma- informed care
  • Minimum 2 years of direct clinical experience providing mental health treatment
  • Comfort using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care and professional growth
  • Active Licensure: LGPC, LMSW, LCPC, LCSW, LCSW-C in Maryland

Compensation

Our tiered compensation structure is designed to reward you as your practice grows. You’ll earn a percentage of every individual and group counseling session you provide, so as your caseload grows, so do your earnings, putting you in control of your income.

Therapists with a consistent caseload can earn up to $100,000 annually, and our top performers earn even more!

Benefits Include

  • STAR Recognition Program – Quarterly company-sponsored trip. for highlighted individuals.
  • Employee Referral Bonus – Earn rewards through our tiered referral program when you help us bring great people on board
  • Clinical Supervision – Ongoing professional support to help you grow in your career
  • Free Financial Advisor – Personalized financial guidance at no cost to you
  • Employee Discounts – Exclusive savings through Working Advantage
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – Confidential support for life's challenges, available when you need it
  • PTO – Start with 15 days and accrue more over time
  • Paid Holidays – 7 paid holidays per year
  • Medical, Dental & Vision – Multiple plan options to fit your needs, including Kaiser Permanente with wellness and self-care resources
  • Tax-Advantaged Savings – HSA, HRA, and FSA options available
  • Disability Coverage – Company-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance
  • Life Insurance – Company-provided coverage for your peace of mind

Why Clinicians Stay at Kolmac

  • Caseloads that don't burn you out. We cap direct care at 50–65% for a reason. You'll have time to document, consult, and actually think.
  • Real interdisciplinary collaboration. You'll work alongside psychiatrists, nurses, and peer support specialists — not in a silo.
  • Leadership that has clinical roots. Our program directors carry clinical backgrounds. When you raise a concern, you're talking to someone who gets it.
  • Growth as we grow. We're actively expanding our mental health programming, which means pathways into leadership, supervision, and specialty tracks for the right clinicians.
  • Mission-driven, not metrics-driven. We measure success through clinical outcomes — patient retention, program completion, and transitions of care — not session counts.

Apply

If this sounds like the environment where you do your best work, we'd like to hear from you.

Submit your resume and a brief note on your clinical approach. We review applications on a rolling basis and aim to respond within one week.

Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive clinical team.
