About the role

What your day could look like

As a Medical Records Administrator, you'll help keep the flow of patient information moving across the health service, supporting clinicians and patients through accurate, timely access to essential records. From coordinating record availability to assisting staff and customers, you'll play an important role in enabling safe and efficient healthcare delivery while working with a collaborative and supportive team.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Ensuring patient records are available when and where they are needed to support seamless care and positive patient outcomes.
  • Managing the movement and tracking of medical information to maintain accuracy, security and continuity across services.
  • Supporting colleagues and customers with information, guidance and responsive administrative assistance.
  • Contributing to an organised, efficient records service that helps teams deliver high-quality healthcare every day.

Let's Talk About You

You're someone who takes pride in getting the details right because you know accurate information can make a real difference to patient care. You bring compassion to every interaction, integrity to every decision and dignity to the way you support others. You enjoy working in a busy environment, stay focused when priorities shift and value being part of a team that relies on each other to achieve great outcomes. The work you do behind the scenes helps patients, clinicians and services stay connected when it matters most.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Confidence using digital systems and Microsoft Office applications to maintain accurate records.
  • Well-developed communication and customer service skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • The ability to prioritise competing tasks, exercise sound judgement and work independently when required.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience working with health records and/or an understanding of medical terminology.

Above all, you'll bring the values we live by: Compassion, Integrity, Dignity, Innovation and Courage.

Together, you'll help ensure the right information reaches the right people at the right time, supporting safe and connected care.
