What your day could look like

You'll be part of a community where your work is genuinely valued and your impact is felt every day. You'll enjoy the variety and professional fulfilment that comes with broad clinical practice while building trusted relationships and contributing to healthier futures for local people.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Delivering high-quality care that improves health outcomes across the community
  • Building strong connections with patients, families and healthcare colleagues
  • Leading safe, contemporary healthcare practices that support continuous improvement
  • Sharing knowledge and mentoring others to strengthen local healthcare capability

Let's talk about you!

You're a doctor who values people as much as clinical excellence. Compassion shapes the way you care, integrity guides your decisions, and dignity underpins every interaction. You enjoy variety, embrace innovation, and bring the courage to step forward when challenges arise. Most of all, you're motivated by the opportunity to become a trusted part of a community and make a real difference in people's lives.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA
  • Fellowship, or progression towards Fellowship, in a recognised rural general practice pathway
  • Strong clinical skills, sound judgement and a commitment to patient-centred care
  • A collaborative, adaptable and community-focused approach

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have advanced rural generalist skills, additional training in areas such as emergency medicine or mental health, and/or experience working in rural or regional communities.
