About the Role

We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-paced hardware product engineering team. In this role, you’ll help design, prototype, test, and refine hardware solutions that solve real-world robotics challenges. You’ll collaborate closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to bring concepts from idea to implementation. You’ll contribute to product development at various stages, from early sketch concepts to production-ready hardware, and gain exposure to the full lifecycle of hardware engineering. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work within the mechanical engineering team to translate system-level requirements into mechanical sub-system designs.
  • Support the design of parts and assemblies in NX, including CAD modeling, 2D drawing creation, and documentation.
  • Participate in prototyping, mechanical testing, and validation of components and assemblies.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure designs meet functional requirements and other DfX considerations.
  • Generate and maintain BOMs, test reports, and assembly instructions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical engineering, system engineering, and the software engineering teams.
  • Work with operations and manufacturing engineering teams to support pilot builds and production readiness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant industry experience in mechanical design or product development.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software.
  • Experience creating 2D drawings with proper dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Familiarity with mechanical principles, materials, and fabrication techniques.
  • Hands-on prototyping and testing experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proactive and eager to learn.

Equal Opportunity Employer

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

Our Total Rewards philosophy is designed to recognize contributions toward meaningful innovation. Base pay is one component of a broader compensation package that may include equity grants, benefits, and other incentives, depending on role and eligibility.

For this position, the expected base salary range is $125,000 to $140,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, education, and market factors, and may vary accordingly.

Final compensation decisions are made individually and take a number of factors into consideration. Eligible employees may be considered for equity awards as part of their overall compensation. Access to benefits and wellness resources is provided in accordance with company policies and may vary based on role and location.
