About the role

Join Mutual of Omaha's Health & Annuity Solutions Marketing team as a Marketing Specialist, where you’ll develop and execute targeted marketing strategies that give our distribution sales partners the tools, campaigns and messaging they need to move annuity business forward. You'll partner with product, sales and cross-functional teams, own projects from plan to delivery, and help shape how we position our products. This role offers the opportunity to influence annuity-focused marketing strategies that strengthen relationships with our distribution partners, enhance the sales experience, and support business growth through targeted campaigns, resources and communications.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

  • Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications):
  • Marketing Specialist: $59,800-$76,000, plus annual bonus opportunity, and commission
  • Sr. Marketing Specialist: $68,000-$87,500, plus annual bonus opportunity, and commission.
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Work-life balance with vacation, personal time and paid holidays. See our benefits and perks page for details.
  • Applicants for this position must not now, nor at any point in the future, require sponsorship for employment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Shape marketing plans that move annuity sales goals forward — pinpointing the right audiences, crafting messaging that resonates, projecting results and defining how you'll measure them.
  • Track and assess marketing program performance, gather feedback and share insights with leadership to ensure goals and budgets are met.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to understand business needs and then help drive cross-functional marketing projects forward by owning timelines, budgets, resources, and day-to-day execution.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure clear communication and smooth project delivery.
  • Compile, analyze, and maintain marketing and research data, support events and initiatives, and help shape short- and long-term marketing strategy planning.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Experience supporting marketing strategy, campaigns, advertising, and working within regulated industries such as insurance or financial services.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage change, solve problems, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills, with sound judgment and strong analytical ability.
  • Comfortable using standard computer tools, including spreadsheets, and working with data to support marketing decisions.
  • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • This position is based in Omaha, NE, and operates in a hybrid environment. Associates are currently expected to work on-site as needed to support business needs. In 2027, when Mutual of Omaha opens its new downtown headquarters, this role will transition to an established hybrid schedule that includes two in-office days each week.

PREFERRED

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and campaign execution.
  • Experience in financial services or annuity/insurance products preferred.
  • Knowledge of distribution sales channels
