About the role

Who We Are

At Freestone, we believe in making a meaningful difference by focusing on what truly matters to our clients. With a 27-year history of consistent growth and success, we are an independent wealth and asset management firm with over $15 billion in assets under management. Headquartered in Washington, with a team of over 130 professionals, we are dedicated to delivering a highly personalized experience that combines intelligent, thoughtful advice with unique investment strategies and comprehensive financial planning.

About the Role

The Marketing Manager will help bring Freestone’s marketing strategies to life through social media, marketing materials, PR, and events. It’s a hands-on opportunity for someone who thinks critically, stays organized, and wants to build experience across multiple areas of marketing.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, you’ll help shape how Freestone connects with clients, prospects, and the communities we serve. You’ll work alongside the Marketing Director and our wealth planning, advisory, and investment teams to turn their expertise into engaging social content and marketing materials. Our marketing team collaborates closely and stays curious about new tools and ideas, from AI to emerging content formats. You’ll have a direct role in putting those ideas to work and creating the materials and campaigns our teams rely on.

This role is an in-office, full-time, exempt position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the firm’s social media calendar; create and publish content across its social channels; monitor performance; and recommend ways to improve future content.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of the firm’s marketing collateral and coordinate updates to keep materials accurate, current, and consistent with Freestone’s brand standards.
  • Maintain the firm’s slide repository, ensuring approved slides are current, consistently formatted, and easy to access.
  • Format and refine ad hoc presentations, handouts, advertisements, and other materials for client advisors and internal teams.
  • Support the execution of digital advertising campaigns as needed, coordinating with the firm’s outside marketing agency on creative assets, timelines, and performance reporting.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of client, prospect, community, and internal events.
  • Manage the firm’s swag inventory and coordinate gifts for clients, prospects, centers of influence, and other firm relationships.

Your Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2-5 years of experience in marketing, social media, or a related role preferred.
  • Experience using PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, Canva, HubSpot, YouTube, and Vimeo strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience developing social media content is a plus.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple initiatives and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work autonomously while communicating proactively and collaborating across teams.
  • Creative mindset, strong design instincts, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Service-oriented approach, can-do attitude, and commitment to producing polished, high-quality work.

Why Join Us?

  • The expected salary for this position is $85,000 - $92,000, depending on experience and skill set. In addition, the position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
  • Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage, 401(k) matching, life and disability insurance, parental leave, and flex spending accounts.
  • Generous paid time off, including 17 days of vacation, 10 paid holidays, and Summer Fridays.
  • Meal perks, company events, team celebrations, and more.
  • A collaborative, fun, and supportive culture where you’re encouraged to innovate and grow.

Our Core Values

  • Commitment: You bring passion, integrity, and energy to everything you do.
  • Collaboration: Working together makes us stronger, smarter, and more innovative.
  • Continuous Improvement: We’re all about growth—both for our clients and ourselves.
