About the role

Your Opportunity

Help deliver a once-in-a-generation infrastructure program as Manager, Villages Program (AO8). We are seeking someone with experience in major projects, property development and/or vertical residential delivery, supported by strong commercial acumen, to contribute to the successful delivery of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Athlete Villages.

As a senior member of the Villages Program team, you will support the Senior Director and Village Directors to translate endorsed Village positions into coordinated delivery across design, technical, approvals and implementation activities. You'll lead coordination across workstreams, advisers and delivery partners, manage complex interfaces and help achieve transaction and delivery outcomes that create lasting value for Queensland.

Your Strengths

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Critical thinking and analysis to navigate complex issues, risks and dependencies.
  • Commercial acumen and an understanding of development delivery and builtform projects.
  • Accountability and an outcomes focus, driving priorities and decisions through to implementation.
  • Stakeholder engagement and relationship building across government, industry, advisers and delivery partners.
  • Flexibility and problem solving to resolve constraints and respond effectively to emerging delivery issues.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Project manage State requirements across the planning, development and delivery of the Athlete Villages, translating endorsed positions into coordinated outcomes.
  • Lead the rolling Village delivery plan, priorities, milestones, dependencies and actions, resolving constraints and emerging issues.
  • Coordinate technical and design teams, consultants, proponents and advisers to resolve complex requirements, interfaces and departures across design and delivery.
  • Integrate design and planning with transaction, contract, enabling and early works, third-party interfaces, access, utilities, overlay, commissioning and handover requirements.
  • Coordinate across government, Games delivery partners and Brisbane 2032 to align governance, stakeholder requirements, interfaces and legacy outcomes.
  • Oversee program assurance, schedules, risks and dependencies, developing mitigation or recovery strategies for material issues.
  • Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior leaders and governance forums, including executive, ministerial and Cabinet documentation, and support agreed decisions through to implementation.
