The Manager, Retail Visual Merchandising will own the execution and consistency of Comfrt's visual merchandising strategy across retail locations. Leads field visual merchandising initiatives, develops store-level visual talent, and partners cross-functionally to ensure every store delivers a compelling brand experience that supports sales, customer engagement, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Visual Merchandising Strategy & Brand Experience

  • Execute the company's visual merchandising strategy across all retail locations, ensuring every store consistently reflects Comfrt's brand standards and customer experience.
  • Develop and distribute visual merchandising directives, floor sets, and seasonal merchandising guides that clearly communicate product stories and presentation expectations.
  • Establish merchandising standards that create engaging, customer-focused shopping experiences while supporting business objectives.
  • Ensure visual presentation evolves alongside brand initiatives, seasonal campaigns, and new product launches.

Field Leadership & Store Development

  • Lead and develop store-level Visual Merchandising Leads through coaching, training, and ongoing professional development.
  • Conduct market visits to assess visual standards, identify opportunities, and provide in-the-moment coaching.
  • Facilitate seasonal training sessions, workshops, and recurring field communications to ensure consistent execution across all locations.
  • Partner with District and Store Managers to strengthen visual merchandising capabilities throughout the organization.

New Store Openings & Visual Execution

  • Lead all visual merchandising aspects of new store openings, remodels, and major floor set transitions.
  • Partner with Retail Operations and Store Development to ensure stores are visually prepared for opening and ongoing business needs.
  • Develop creative solutions that address unique store layouts, inventory challenges, and architectural constraints while maintaining brand consistency.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Brand, Creative, Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, and Retail Operations to align visual presentation with broader business initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing feedback regarding product presentation, customer shopping behaviors, inventory opportunities, and market trends.
  • Support company-wide initiatives that strengthen visual storytelling and improve the overall customer experience.

Business Performance & Operational Excellence

  • Leverage visual merchandising to improve customer engagement, conversion, and overall store productivity.
  • Monitor visual execution and store performance through store visits, ongoing data and analytics driven reporting, and key performance metrics - making recommendations in partnership with retail partners to increase product productivity and profitability.
  • Manage visual merchandising budgets and resources responsibly while maximizing business impact.
  • Identify opportunities to improve visual processes, merchandising tools, and execution standards as the retail organization scales.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive retail visual merchandising experience, including leadership across multiple retail locations or high-volume stores.
  • Proven experience developing and executing visual merchandising strategies that drive customer engagement and sales performance.
  • Strong understanding of retail performance metrics and visual merchandising analytics.
  • Demonstrated success coaching and developing high-performing visual merchandising teams.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, customer behavior, and visual storytelling.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
