About Legal Aid Queensland

Legal Aid Queensland's vision is to be a leader in a fair justice system where people are able to understand and protect their legal rights. Our purpose is to provide quality, cost effective legal services to financially disadvantaged people throughout Queensland.

We embrace diversity, flexibility, learning and continuous improvement to deliver quality legal services. The work is challenging but rewarding - and that is why staff wellbeing and work/life balance are a top priority for us.

About the role

As the Manager, Procurement and Contract Services, you will lead Legal Aid Queensland's procurement and contract management function, providing strategic leadership and expert advice across the organisation.

You will oversee complex procurement activities, manage significant contract portfolios, and ensure procurement practices align with legislative, policy and governance requirements.

Working closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders, you will identify opportunities to improve procurement outcomes, enhance organisational capability, strengthen supplier and contract performance, and drive continuous improvement across systems, policies and processes. Leading a high-performing team, you will foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and service excellence while delivering innovative, value-for-money solutions that support Legal Aid Queensland's strategic objectives.

About you

We're looking for a confident and capable leader who can demonstrate:

  • Significant experience managing complex procurement activities and high-value contracts.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing procurement and contract management functions.
  • Knowledge of the Queensland Procurement Policy, relevant legislation and procurement governance frameworks.
  • Experience developing or improving procurement policies, procedures and systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and delivering practical business outcomes.

  • Generous salary packaging
  • Employer super contributions of 12.75%
  • Flexible working hours
  • Study leave for approved work-related courses.
