Key Responsibilities

Client Delivery & Legal Leadership

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex pharmaceutical manufacturing and manufacturing-related agreements, including supply agreements, logistics services agreements, development and technology transfer agreements, contract manufacturing agreements, CDAs, MSAs, and SOWs.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for high-risk or complex contractual matters.
  • Provide structured contract analysis and risk assessments, including support in dispute-related matters where required.
  • Ensure alignment with client policies, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.

Operational & Process Transformation

  • Lead initiatives to refine legal review triggers and reduce unnecessary legal involvement in low-risk agreements, enabling efficient allocation of legal resources.
  • Analyse contracting data (including AI-supported clause analytics) to identify negotiation patterns, optimize templates, and reduce escalation cycles.
  • Drive standardization of clauses and fallback positions to improve consistency and negotiation efficiency.
  • Enhance and maintain contract reporting dashboards, including volume tracking, complexity indicators, ageing analysis, and region-level performance metrics.
  • Proactively identify structural improvements to reduce time-to-contract and improve overall contract lifecycle management.

AI & Innovation Enablement

  • Champion adoption of AI-enabled contracting tools, including clause analytics and negotiated outcomes analysis.
  • Partner with internal technology, CRU, and R&D teams to develop AI-enabled solutions that deliver measurable client value.
  • Translate AI insights into practical guidance, improved templates, and scalable contracting strategies.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making across stakeholders.

Strategic Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Legal, Procurement, R&D, Tech Ops, QA, Insurance, and Privacy stakeholders.
  • Position Factor as a trusted advisor and central contracting partner.
  • Lead proactive communication during resourcing changes, process transitions, and structural improvements to ensure delivery continuity.
  • Support business reviews and contribute data-backed insights to client leadership discussions.

Resourcing & Team Leadership

  • Support resourcing strategy, onboarding, training, and transition of work across regions where required.
  • Coach and develop junior legal professionals; provide subject-matter guidance on pharmaceutical manufacturing agreements.
  • Develop and maintain guidance materials, knowledge articles, and internal trackers to strengthen team expertise and reduce repetitive legal queries.
  • Contribute to onsite training and best-practice sessions for internal and client stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Legally eligible to work in Poland.
  • Qualification as a lawyer (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 8+ years of legal experience, ideally in pharmaceutical manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and supply chain agreements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing agreements (DS/DP development, tech transfer, supply, device development, logistics).
  • Strong understanding of international supply chain contracting, IP considerations in pharma manufacturing, and risk allocation frameworks.
  • Experience collaborating directly with Legal, Procurement, and business stakeholders in a global environment.
  • Proven ability to lead process improvement and operational transformation initiatives.
  • Experience leveraging data and AI tools to improve contracting outcomes.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of financial and performance metrics.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate autonomously, prioritize effectively, and deliver under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract lifecycle management systems (e.g., Icertis).
