About the role

ABOUT ROCKET MONEY 🔮

Rocket Money’s mission is to empower people to live their best financial lives. Rocket Money offers members a unique understanding of their finances and a suite of valuable services that save them time and money – ultimately giving them a leg up on their financial journey.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Rocket Money is looking for a Legal Project Manager to join our Legal team. Embedded within the legal side of the business and working closely with every internal team like Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Engineering as well as other key partners. You'll own the day-to-day project management of our legal process while driving operations and tool improvements across the team, and serve as the connective tissue between the internal teams

This is a remote, full-time mid to senior level position within our legal team, reporting to the Director, Project Management.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL

  • Partner closely with attorneys and cross-functional stakeholders to translate legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements into scalable business processes and operational workflows.
  • Lead and coordinate legal team initiatives across Product, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and other business functions.
  • Optimize and maintain internal processes and workflows that improve efficiency, visibility, and collaboration across teams.
  • Develop, update, and maintain internal guidelines, process documentation, and internal resources.
  • Review customer-facing experiences including product features, partnerships, lifecycle communications, and other initiatives to identify risks before launch.
  • Assist in developing scalable operational controls and monitoring processes that improve visibility into customer experiences and evolving legal and business requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, and automated tooling to streamline legal workflows and reduce manual effort.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop creative solutions that support business objectives and growth while appropriately managing legal and regulatory risk.
  • Assist with legal research and special projects related to financial products, consumer protection, privacy, marketing, and other emerging legal initiatives.
  • Support contract administration and other legal operations initiatives as needed.

ABOUT YOU

  • You have 3+ years of experience in legal operations, project management, compliance, business operations, or a similar cross-functional role.
  • You enjoy bringing structure to ambiguity and are excited by opportunities to build new processes rather than simply follow existing ones.
  • You have experience managing projects across multiple stakeholders while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • You're comfortable interpreting complex legal, regulatory, or operational concepts and communicating them clearly to both legal and business teams.
  • You naturally think in systems and are always looking for ways to improve processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and create scalable solutions.
  • You're excited by new technology and enjoy exploring how AI, automation, and internal tools can improve the way work gets done.

Additional Positive Skills

  • Experience working in fintech, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with consumer protection, advertising, privacy, or financial services regulations is a plus.
  • Experience with tools like Figma, Airtable, Notion, or similar tools

WE OFFER 💫

  • Health, Dental & Vision Plans
  • Life Insurance
  • Long/Short Term Disability
  • Competitive Pay
  • 401k Matching
  • Team Member Stock Purchasing Program (TMSPP)
  • Learning & Development Opportunities
  • Tuition Reimbursement
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Daily Lunch, Snacks & Coffee (in-office only)
  • Commuter benefits (in-office only)

Salary range: $75,000 – $95,000/year + bonus + benefits. Base pay may vary depending on knowledge, skill, and experience.
