About the role

At WHOOP, we're on a mission to unlock and inspire performance for life. WHOOP empowers members to perform at a higher level through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives. As we continue to scale globally, we are committed to building exceptional teams and experiences that support our members at every stage of their journey.

WHOOP is hiring a Learning Manager to lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of scalable learning programs across our global Membership Services organization. In this role, you will lead a high-performing team of learning professionals, oversee the learning technology ecosystem, and build innovative learning experiences that accelerate employee proficiency and elevate the member experience. You will partner closely with cross-functional leaders to translate business priorities into impactful learning solutions, leveraging data, technology, and modern learning methodologies to drive measurable improvements in employee performance and operational effectiveness. We are looking for a strategic, hands-on leader who is passionate about developing people, embracing innovation, and building a culture of continuous learning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Learning Strategy & Program Development: Define and execute a comprehensive learning strategy and roadmap aligned with Membership Services priorities. Oversee scalable programs across new hire onboarding, continuing education, product readiness, systems training, and employee development to accelerate speed-to-competency and improve operational performance.
  • Build & Develop a High-Performing Team: Lead, coach, and develop a team of learning professionals, establishing clear performance expectations, fostering accountability, and creating opportunities for professional growth. Cultivate a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven team culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Own Learning Technology & Innovation: Oversee the strategy, governance, administration, and optimization of the Learning Management System (LMS) and broader learning technology ecosystem. Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI-powered tools, and emerging technologies to enhance learning experiences, streamline workflows, and scale learning delivery globally.
  • Drive Learning Experience Design & Global Training Excellence: Guide the development of engaging, accessible, and performance-based learning experiences grounded in adult learning principles and modern instructional design methodologies. Establish consistent learning standards, trainer certification processes, and quality assurance practices across internal teams and global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partners.
  • Measure Learning Effectiveness & Business Impact: Establish learning KPIs, reporting frameworks, and evaluation processes that connect learning investments to measurable business outcomes. Leverage learning analytics and operational performance data to identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen employee readiness, and demonstrate impact on productivity, quality, and member experience.
  • Partner Cross-Functionally to Drive Organizational Performance: Serve as a strategic learning partner to Membership Services leadership and collaborate with Operations, Quality, Knowledge Management, HR, Product, and Technology teams. Identify capability gaps, prioritize learning initiatives, and lead training readiness efforts that support evolving business needs, organizational change, and global growth.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, Learning Operations, or a related field, including 2+ years of direct people management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing learning strategies, onboarding programs, and ongoing employee development initiatives that improve proficiency and support measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing learning professionals, with the ability to establish clear priorities, drive accountability, and foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
  • Experience managing or overseeing Learning Management Systems (LMS), including platform administration, governance, reporting, and optimization. Experience with enterprise learning technologies or LMS implementations is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning evaluation frameworks, with experience translating complex information into engaging, effective learning experiences.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage learning data, employee performance metrics, and operational insights to evaluate program effectiveness and inform strategic decisions.
  • Strong project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and execute effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience supporting global customer service, contact center, or BPO environments is a plus.
  • Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.
