About the role

About our team

Radiant is redefining how AI infrastructure is built.

We design and operate AI-native infrastructure platforms engineered for sovereignty, performance, and scale — powering GPU-native workloads, multi-tenant control planes, and high-performance AI systems for the most demanding environments. We are building purpose-built AI infrastructure from powered land, to compute, to software.

As we scale our operations and deploy capital into the next generation of AI infrastructure, we are looking to expand our product team with leaders who can combine technical strength with execution excellence and are driven to build.

Radiant was established by Brookfield, a leading global alternative asset manager with over US$1 trillion of assets under management across real estate, infrastructure, renewable power and transition, private equity and credit. Brookfield's global relationships, investment expertise and access to long-term institutional capital provide Radiant with a differentiated platform from which to develop, finance and operate AI infrastructure assets. This combination of entrepreneurial execution and institutional sponsorship enables Radiant to pursue large-scale GPU and AI infrastructure opportunities globally.

Job Summary

As a Lead Infrastructure Product Engineer, you will work at the intersection of product, platform engineering, and cloud infrastructure, helping shape and build the core capabilities that underpin Radiant’s cloud platform.

You’ll work across compute, networking, storage, Kubernetes, APIs, automation, identity, observability, and developer tooling, partnering closely with product, infrastructure, SRE, security, and customers.

This is a senior, hands-on role focused on turning complex infrastructure into reliable, scalable, and easy-to-consume platform products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of platform infrastructure capabilities, APIs, workflows, and developer tooling.
  • Work closely with product to translate customer and business needs into technical product solutions.
  • Build and prototype capabilities across compute, storage, networking, Kubernetes, identity, and platform services.
  • Define patterns for APIs, automation, provisioning, lifecycle management, and service integration.
  • Improve self-service, reliability, observability, and developer experience across the platform.
  • Work directly with customers and internal teams to understand infrastructure pain points and validate solutions.
  • Support product discovery through prototypes, technical spikes, benchmarks, and proof-of-concepts.
  • Provide technical leadership on architecture and implementation, helping teams make pragmatic trade-offs between speed, scalability, reliability, and complexity.
  • Take successful concepts from prototype through to production-quality services.

Qualifications

  • Strong software and infrastructure engineering experience, ideally across cloud platforms, infrastructure products, developer platforms, or distributed systems.
  • Deep understanding of:
  • Cloud infrastructure: compute, storage, networking, Kubernetes, containers
  • Platform engineering: provisioning, orchestration, IAM, observability, automation
  • Developer tooling: APIs, SDKs, CLIs, web consoles
  • Strong experience building backend services, APIs, integrations, and infrastructure automation.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Linux, cloud networking, observability tooling, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Comfortable working from ambiguous product requirements through architecture, implementation, and production rollout.
  • Strong technical leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence across product and engineering.

What you bring

  • Platform mindset: You think in reusable capabilities rather than one-off solutions.
  • Builder mindset: You move quickly from idea to working software.
  • Product sense: You care about usability, adoption, and customer outcomes.
  • Technical depth: You can work credibly across infrastructure, APIs, distributed systems, and architecture.
  • Leadership: You raise the technical bar and help others make better product and engineering decisions.
  • Ownership: You drive problems from discovery through implementation, launch, and iteration.

Our values

  • Set the standard: Every single day, you spot opportunities to constructively shake things up
  • Inspire the change: There’s no blueprint for the future. You’ll embrace challenges and change
  • You’re real and you’re true to yourself: We cherish and celebrate diversity so you’ll feel right at home whoever you are and whoever you’re talking to, you treat everyone the same.

Why should you join us?

What sets us apart is our blend of modern technology, competitive benefits, and an open, welcoming work culture that enables our people to thrive.

Here are just some of the great things you can expect from us:

  • 25 days of annual leave
  • A culture that emphasises results over hierarchy, process & ego: we place great emphasis on the quality, ingenuity and creativity of work.
  • Open communication, regular feedback: we value smooth collaboration, direct and actionable feedback, and believe that leading with empathy and a growth mindset makes us better together.
  • Learning Time: we all have dedicated learning time to focus on new skills, projects or interests that lay outside of your day-to-day job.
  • Health & Wellbeing: we want everyone to feel healthy and happy, so we offer private medical insurance via Bupa.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme: we're committed to building a sustainable business, so we encourage cycling to work.
  • Gympass subscription to a variety of gyms and wellbeing apps
  • Participation in the company shares program
  • Enhanced parental pay & leave
