About the role
We are looking to hire a Lead Class A Driver for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Gardena CA. A Lead has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. The ideal Plant Operator Lead is an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.

What will your job involve?
- Supervises transport team and ensures all deliveries are made in a timely manner
- Enforces a high standard of customer service and outstanding attention to detail with all deliveries
- Manages training and assists employees and new hires
- Safely collects, delivers and stores our medical waste containers
- Provides strong customer service and patience as it relates to our customers
- Operates vehicles in a safe manner (straight trucks and tractor trailers as large as 26 and 53 feet long)
- Performs on time delivery practices and clearly communicates changes or challenges as they arise
- Loading and unloading | Prioritizes and organizes your truck per schedule and business needs
- Manages a route per business needs | delivers timely, efficient, and effective service
- Complies with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
What are we looking for?
- 1 + years of previous lead experience is NEEDED
- Class A license with a clean driving record and VALID DOT MEDICAL CARD
- Minimum 3 years experience operating straight truck/tractor trailer up to 53f
- Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
- Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
- Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
- Can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
- Proven longevity in past employment
