About the role

Your Mission

As our first Key Account Executive focused on Mining in APAC, you’ll be responsible for growing our presence with mining companies and the region’s largest quarrying groups. Much of our mining presence today comes through contractors, so you’ll build direct relationships with the mines themselves, expand our footprint site by site, and lay the foundation for sustained growth. You’ll leverage existing relationships to uncover expansion opportunities, while also using referrals to win brand new business.

We’re hiring in Perth, Brisbane and Sydney, so we can find the best person for the job wherever they are.

Your Responsibilities

  • Grow Propeller’s presence across miners, and major aggregates players, across Australia and APAC
  • Own renewals and upsells, and keep churn and contraction in check
  • Expand relationships into new mine sites and business units within your accounts
  • Open up new-logo opportunities while continuing to grow our strategic accounts
  • Build trusted relationships through site visits, customer meetings and in office engagement, with some travel across Australia as the relationships need it

Requirements

  • You’ve sold into the mining industry, ideally with established customer relationships across the APAC region
  • You have software or technical sales experience with a track record of success across both new-logo acquisition and account expansion
  • You’re a strong communicator and presenter who builds relationships easily
  • You’re happy to build relationships face to face, out in the field and in the office

Bonus points for

  • A surveying background
  • Experience selling mining peripherals, such as machine control or fleet technology

Benefits

  • Employee share options
  • Professional development budget and leave
  • The opportunity to take part in our mentorship program
  • Mental health resources
  • Monthly telephone and/or internet allowance
  • Paid primary & secondary parental leave policies
  • Hybrid work arrangements and WFH equipment provided
