About the role

Build the Future with Us — EquipmentShare is Hiring a Junior eCommerce Web Developer

At EquipmentShare, we’re not just filling a role — we’re assembling the best team on the planet to build something that’s never been built before. We’re on a mission to transform an industry that’s been stuck in the past by empowering contractors and communities through innovative technology, real-time support, and a team that truly cares.

We’re hiring a Junior eCommerce Web Developer at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO, and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction.

EquipmentShare is seeking a Junior eCommerce Web Developer (Front-End) to join our eCommerce team. This role is a great opportunity for an early-career developer to grow their front-end development and UX skills while contributing to real, customer-facing projects.

The Junior Web Developer will work closely with more senior developers and the product team to build and maintain high-quality web experiences across our eCommerce platforms, with support and mentorship provided along the way.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Front-End Development
  • Work closely with product and senior developers to understand requirements and considerations.
  • Translate visual designs into completed HTML pages while adhering to design specifications (we use Webflow).
  • Write, test, and debug HTML, CSS, and JavaScript according to internal standards and guidelines, with support from senior team members.
  • Assist with ensuring cross-browser compatibility and compliance with accessibility guidelines.
  • Collaboration & Learning
  • Collaborate with teammates to deliver quality solutions under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and improve technical skills.
  • Ask questions and seek assistance proactively when facing unfamiliar problems.
  • Take ownership of smaller, well-defined tasks and grow into larger project ownership over time.

Why EquipmentShare?

That means our proprietary T3 platform doesn’t just run our business — it also makes your job easier, safer, and more connected. Whether you’re behind the wheel, under the hood, leading a branch, or closing deals — tech supports you, and you drive us forward.

We’re a team of problem-solvers, go-getters, and builders. And we’re looking for teammates who take pride in doing meaningful work and want to be part of building something special.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation
  • Full medical, dental, and vision coverage for full-time employees
  • Generous PTO + paid holidays
  • 401(k) + company match
  • Gym membership stipend + wellness programs (earn PTO and prizes!)
  • Company events and quarterly team activities
  • 16 hours of paid volunteer time per year — give back to the community you call home
  • Career advancement, leadership training, and professional development opportunities

About You

You want to be part of a team that’s not just changing an industry for the sake of change — we’re transforming it to make it safer, more secure, and more productive. You bring grit, heart, and humility to your work, and you’re excited about the opportunity to grow within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

We’re looking for people who:

  • See challenges as opportunities
  • Embrace change and continuous improvement
  • Bring energy, effort, and optimism every day

Skills & Qualifications

  • Foundational experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and UX tools (Figma).
  • Exposure to or coursework/project experience with cloud-based CMS platforms (Webflow, WordPress, Shopify) is a plus.
  • Eagerness to learn frameworks such as React and modern front-end tooling.
  • Must be qualified to work in the United States - we are not sponsoring any candidates at this time.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to seek help when needed.
  • Education and Experience:
  • 0-2 years of professional or project-based web development experience (internships, bootcamp projects, or coursework count).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field, or equivalent self-directed/bootcamp experience.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce concepts is a plus but not required.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
