Working under the direction of the Superintendent IT/OT and alongside senior IT resources, the role supports construction, commissioning, operational readiness and ongoing operations. The position is intended for deployment at sites such as Nussir and Springer and is not limited to a single project or jurisdiction.

  • Install, configure, deploy and troubleshoot computers, peripherals and approved software.
  • Support Microsoft 365, Windows, Entra ID and Intune, including device enrolment, access issues and routine user administration.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of wired and wireless networks, fibre, cabling, switches, wireless access points and network cabinets.
  • Help maintain site Wi-Fi, digital radio, leaky feeder and other communications systems applicable to the assigned location.
  • Perform routine infrastructure inspections, preventative maintenance and basic connectivity testing.
  • Support deployment and commissioning of new technology during project development and operational changes.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset records, inventory, support tickets, technical documentation and user instructions.
  • Work with vendors and contractors during equipment installation, fault resolution and scheduled maintenance.
  • Escalate complex, high-impact or recurring issues to senior IT/OT resources and assist with resolution.
  • Follow company cybersecurity, change-management, data-governance and access-control requirements.
  • Assist with incident response, equipment recovery and continuity activities when requested.
  • Participate in after-hours support or an on-call rotation when required by project or operational needs.
  • Perform all work in accordance with company health, safety, environmental and site-access requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or certificate in information technology, computer systems, networking or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically two or more years of IT support experience; experience in mining, industrial, construction, remote-site or field environments is considered an asset.
  • Practical experience supporting Windows devices, Microsoft 365 and common end-user applications.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, Wi-Fi, switches, cabling and structured troubleshooting methods.
  • Experience with Entra ID, Intune, mobile-device support or IT service-management tools is considered an asset.
  • Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Fundamentals or equivalent are considered an asset.
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to meet site, travel and medical requirements applicable to the assigned location.

Skills and Competencies

  • Customer-focused and able to communicate technical information clearly to users with different levels of experience.
  • Methodical troubleshooting skills with good judgement about when to resolve, document or escalate an issue.
  • Reliable, organized and attentive to asset records, support tickets, procedures and cybersecurity controls.
  • Able to work safely and effectively in office, field, construction and operational environments.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and develop broader network, infrastructure and communications capability.

Working Conditions

This is a site-based role that may involve travel, work in industrial and underground areas, exposure to construction or production environments, use of personal protective equipment and occasional work outside normal business hours.
