About the role

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today, SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of making life multiplanetary and expanding consciousness to the stars.

SpaceXSI is building Super Intelligence to help humanity understand the universe. Our teams are building the full Super Intelligence stack: from our Colossus supercomputers, to Grok models, to our suite of applications, including Grok Bot, Grok Build, Grok Imagine, Grok Voice, and X. We're creating a powerful flywheel where more compute trains better models, better models power more useful products, and what we learn from people using those products shapes what we build next.

INVENTORY ANALYST, SUPERCOMPUTER OPERATIONS

As an Inventory Analyst supporting SpaceXSI data center and supercomputer operations, you will analyze inventory data, drive accuracy, optimize stock levels and material flow, and provide actionable insights for high-value materials and equipment (servers, GPUs, networking gear, power and cooling components, spare parts, and other critical infrastructure). You will support just-in-time operations, identify discrepancies and trends, and help the site scale rapidly while maintaining safety, quality, and control standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze inventory transactions, levels, usage, and discrepancies to maintain high accuracy and identify trends
  • Perform root-cause analysis on inventory variances and recommend/implement corrective actions
  • Generate reports and dashboards on inventory metrics, turnover, aging, accuracy, and KPIs
  • Support and analyze cycle count programs; reconcile physical vs. system inventory
  • Maintain and improve data quality in ERP/WMS systems; ensure lot/serial and location traceability
  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, commissioning, and finance on inventory planning, forecasting, and material flow
  • Identify and drive process improvements for receiving, storage, kitting, issuance, and staging
  • Track and report on high-value assets and critical spare parts to support 24/7 operations
  • Abide by all procedures, work instructions, and standard operating documents
  • Manage priorities independently and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of inventory analysis, inventory control, or inventory experience
  • 1+ years of experience with SQL

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 6+ years of inventory analysis or control experience in a warehouse, distribution, or high-volume operations environment
  • 1 + years of experience with Jira
  • Experience in data center, semiconductor, electronics, aerospace, automotive, or technology environments
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling)
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems and inventory reporting
  • SQL, data visualization, or business intelligence tool experience
  • Ability to read and interpret procedures, parts lists, and related documentation
  • Process improvement or Lean/inventory optimization experience

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work on-site in warehouse/data center environments with varying temperatures and noise
  • Comfortable with occasional lifting, standing, and movement in inventory/staging areas as required to validate data or support operations
