About the role

About This Role

The Personal Financial Planning program at Kansas State University seeks qualified professionals to apply for a part-time, temporary instructor pool. Temporary instructors will be expected to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in areas of financial planning, including investments, insurance, taxation, and estate planning.

Temporary instructors will provide high-quality instruction that connects financial planning theory with professional practice and prepares students for careers in the financial planning profession. Depending on the course assignment, responsibilities may include developing or adapting course materials, delivering instruction in online or in-person formats, assessing student learning, providing timely feedback, and maintaining regular communication with students and program faculty.

The program is particularly interested in hiring qualified candidates with expertise in investment planning, insurance and risk management, tax planning, and estate planning.

Availability of these non-tenure track positions vary and are dependent upon need. Applicants in this pool may or may not be considered. Applications will be reviewed as they are received and placed in a pool for consideration. As positions become available, the program chair will select candidates that meet the program’s instructional needs from the pool and contact those candidates accordingly.
