About the role

About This Role

Kansas State University’s Olathe campus (https://olathe.k-state.edu/) invites qualified scholars and professionals to apply for a part-time, temporary instructor pool. The instructor will teach nutrition classes to undergraduate students for evening, in-person classes to be held at the K-State Olathe campus. Classes are for the School of Health Sciences, preparing students for careers and additional education in public health, human nutrition, and dietetics.

Instructor positions are non-tenure-track members of the faculty. Positions vary and are dependent upon the need, if any, each semester for the instruction of course(s) contingent on enrollment and staffing. The primary role is instruction with no obligations to perform research or service. The appointment dates will vary based on the type of appointment and the timeframe for the preparation and instruction of the course(s).

Applicants in this pool may or may not be considered. Applications will be reviewed, and candidates will be contacted as needed. Application materials will be reviewed by a search committee and placed in a pool for consideration for teaching courses consistent with departmental instructional needs. As positions become available, the department head or associate dean will select candidates from the pool for further consideration, and selected candidates will be contacted accordingly.

Applications will be accepted through June 2027, and you will receive an email notification when the pool closes. A new requisition will open on July 1, 2027. If you have continued interest in the pool, please reapply to the new requisition. If at any time you decide that you are no longer interested in being considered, you may log in to the system and withdraw your application from the pool.
