This position helps convert project demand into finished installations by loading the correct materials, installing doors and operators safely, following paperwork and job instructions, and completing required job checklists. The role directly impacts installation quality, schedule performance, safety, and the ability to complete work right the first time in both residential and commercial settings.

  • Perform core installation tasks such as mounting track, winding springs, setting hardware sections, and installing trim.
  • Read job paperwork and follow installation instructions accurately.
  • Complete installations in accordance with established quality and safety expectations.

Material and Job Preparation

  • Review paperwork and load the correct materials for each assigned job.
  • Verify that tools, hardware, and door components are ready before leaving for the jobsite.
  • Help prevent delays, missing materials, and installation errors caused by poor preparation.
  • Handle materials carefully and responsibly during loading, transport, and installation.

Tool and Equipment Use

  • Safely and effectively use hand tools, sockets, wrenches, drills, impacts, chop saws, screwdrivers, hammers, chisels, and other required installation tools.
  • Read and use a tape measure accurately.
  • Use power tools properly and safely.
  • Read wiring diagrams and support operator installation when required.

Physical Work and Jobsite Readiness

  • Perform physically demanding installation work, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
  • Work on ladders, lifts, or elevated areas when required for installation.
  • Maintain readiness for both residential and heavier commercial installation conditions.
  • Follow direction well and contribute to smooth jobsite execution.

Documentation, Safety, and Professional Standards

  • Complete required pre-installation and post-installation checklists.
  • Follow PPE and safety requirements at all times.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and arrive prepared for each assignment.
  • Represent the company professionally on customer jobsites.

Working Norms

  • Show up on time, prepared, and ready to install safely.
  • Measure carefully, load correctly, and avoid preventable installation mistakes.
  • Follow directions and paperwork without cutting corners.
  • Take pride in quality work that holds up after the crew leaves.
  • Protect the company through safe behavior, clean execution, and professional conduct.
