What is the job?
Your patients have usually tried everything else. By the time they reach Montu UK, most have been through years of treatment that has not worked. You will be prescribing cannabis-based medicines to people for whom this is often a last resort, and for many of them it changes their quality of life substantially.
That is not a line. It is the reason the right pharmacist wants this job.
What will you be doing?
Your patients have usually tried everything else. By the time they reach Montu UK, most have been through years of treatment that has not worked. You will be prescribing cannabis-based medicines to people for whom this is often a last resort, and for many of them it changes their quality of life substantially.
- Clinically review and prescribe CBMPs
- Manage a complex patient caseload
- Support the dispensary team with clinical queries
- Contribute to education across patients and staff.
- Work within a multidisciplinary clinical team
- Maintain accurate patient records in line with GPhC standards.
What you need
- GPhC registered pharmacist with a current Independent Prescriber qualification
- At least two years of prescribing experience
- Experience in a clinical setting
- Genuine interest in patient outcomes, not just the subject matter
- Comfortable working at pace in an environment that is still evolving
- CBPM knowledge is not required, we will train you properly

We are not looking for people who think prescribing cannabis sounds interesting. We are looking for people who care about the patient on the other end of the consultation, who will take a complex case seriously, and who want their work to matter.

You want a stable, slow-moving clinical environment. You are drawn to this because it sounds progressive rather than because patient outcomes drive you. You need full process clarity before you can be effective. You are looking to coast on an IP qualification without continuing to develop.
