About the role

HR Coordinator

My Plumber Plus | Manassas, VA

Pay: $55,000–$67,000 annually

About My Plumber Plus

Since 1982, My Plumber Plus has served homeowners throughout Northern Virginia and Suburban Maryland with trusted plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and drain services. What began as a small local plumbing company has grown into one of the region’s leading residential home-service providers.

As part of the Sila Services family of companies, My Plumber Plus combines the reputation and culture of an established local brand with the resources, training, and career opportunities of a growing home-services organization. Our success is built on talented people who take pride in their work, support one another, and deliver an exceptional experience to every customer.

About the Role

My Plumber Plus is looking for an HR Coordinator to support employees and leaders at our Manassas location and across other Sila Services operations in the DMV region.

This is a hands-on, in-person HR role for someone who enjoys staying close to the business, solving problems, supporting employees, and keeping important processes organized and moving forward. You’ll serve as a local HR resource for field and office teams while partnering closely with Corporate HR, Payroll, Benefits, Legal, Safety, and Talent Acquisition.

If you’re an organized, process-oriented HR professional who communicates well, follows through on commitments, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, this could be a great next step in your career.

What You’ll Do

Employee Relations and HR Support

  • Support day-to-day employee relations matters involving local field and office teams.
  • Coordinate employee offboarding and termination processing.
  • Conduct exit interviews and help identify recurring themes or trends.
  • Provide onsite support for employee investigations in partnership with Corporate HR.
  • Serve as a trusted local resource for employees and managers.
  • Escalate complex employee matters to the appropriate Corporate HR or Legal partner.

HR Administration and Performance

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in ADP.
  • Coordinate and track 30-, 60-, and 90-day performance reviews.
  • Ensure required HR documentation is completed, organized, and submitted on time.
  • Support local HR reporting, audits, and administrative projects.
  • Follow up with employees and managers to keep HR processes moving forward.

Benefits, ADA, and Employee Support

  • Serve as a local point of contact for benefits questions and communications.
  • Partner with Corporate Benefits, HR, and Legal on employee requests and workplace accommodations.
  • Help employees understand available resources and the appropriate next steps.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.

Safety and Compliance

  • Coordinate the local Safety Committee and monthly safety meetings.
  • Prepare safety-meeting agendas, presentations, and required documentation.
  • Maintain OSHA logs and support required reporting.
  • Assist with workplace injury investigations and incident documentation.
  • Follow up on workers’ compensation matters in coordination with Corporate HR and Safety.
  • Help ensure required safety documentation and employee training remain current.

Hiring and Onboarding Support

  • Coordinate new-hire start dates and schedules with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition.
  • Assign and track required training through Schoox and SPARC.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities and ensure new employees complete required documentation.
  • Support the distribution and tracking of uniforms and personal protective equipment for field employees.
  • Help create an organized and welcoming onboarding experience for new team members.

HR Programs and Communications

  • Help improve local HR processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Draft and distribute clear employee communications.
  • Coordinate employee-recognition programs, including birthdays, anniversaries, awards, and other local initiatives.
  • Assist with employee events and engagement activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve organization, communication, and follow-through across local HR processes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Two to five years of experience as an HR Coordinator, HR Generalist, HR Assistant, or in a similar position.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Process-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and implement improvements.
  • Experience supporting field, service, skilled-trades, or multi-location employees is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of ADP or another HRIS platform.
  • Familiarity with OSHA recordkeeping and workers’ compensation processes is helpful, but training can be provided.
  • Experience supporting ADA accommodations is a plus, but not required.
  • Comfortable building relationships with both office employees and field technicians.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee information.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus, but not required.

Work Environment

  • This is an in-office position based primarily at My Plumber Plus in Manassas, Virginia.
  • Regular local travel to other Sila Services branches throughout the DMV region may be required.
  • In-person support is required for onboarding, safety meetings, employee matters, investigations, and other HR activities.
  • The position is primarily office-based, with occasional time spent in branch shops and other operational environments.

Why Join Us?

  • Take on a hands-on HR role with a direct impact on employees and local leadership.
  • Work closely with both field and office teams.
  • Gain exposure to employee relations, safety, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and HR operations.
  • Receive support from centralized HR, Payroll, Benefits, Legal, Safety, and Talent Acquisition teams.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Build experience supporting multiple Sila Services locations throughout the DMV region.
  • Pursue opportunities for continued responsibility and long-term career growth.

If you’re looking for an HR opportunity where you can stay close to the operation, build trusted relationships, and help keep important people processes organized and moving forward, we’d like to hear from you.
