About the role

As our HR Compliance Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening compliance across our complex employment and industrial relations environment. You’ll work collaboratively with HR, Payroll, Finance and Operations to identify risks, improve processes and ensure our people are paid correctly and our obligations are met.

  • Drive compliance and accuracy by analysing employee, payroll and rostering data, identifying discrepancies and investigating employee entitlements.
  • Interpret complex legislation including modern awards, enterprise agreements, Fair Work updates, Visa requirements and Same Job Same Pay obligations.
  • Support compliance improvements by reviewing existing processes, recommending strengthened controls and contributing to the implementation of sustainable solutions.
  • Support remediation initiatives by assessing compliance gaps, quantifying discrepancies and coordinating appropriate rectification activities.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across HR, Industrial Relations, Payroll, Finance and Operations to embed best-practice compliance and governance.
  • Build a culture of compliance by supporting the development of policies, procedures, training resources and practical guidance that empower leaders to meet their obligations.

About You

You’re an analytical and solutions-focused HR/IR professional who enjoys working through complex employment matters and turning legislative requirements into practical business solutions. You bring a strong eye for detail, confidence in engaging stakeholders and a proactive approach to identifying and managing risk.

  • Demonstrated experience in HR compliance, industrial relations, payroll compliance or a similar role within a complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of modern awards, enterprise agreements and employment legislation, with the ability to interpret industrial instruments accurately.
  • Experience analysing employee and payroll data, interpreting rostering patterns and calculating employee entitlements to identify discrepancies.
  • Proven ability to investigate compliance risks, support remediation activities and develop improved processes, systems and controls.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex industrial matters clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, payroll and workforce administration systems, with experience in enterprise agreement implementation, documentation and compliance reporting highly regarded.
