About the role

As a People Experience Advisor, you will provide practical, accurate and employee-focused support across the employee lifecycle. Acting as a first point of contact for managers and employees, you will advise on people policies and processes, manage routine and moderately complex employee relations matters, and help ensure a consistent, high-quality service.

You will work closely with the wider People Experience team, triaging casework and escalating complex, high-risk or business-critical matters to the People Experience Partner. You will also contribute to people projects, policy development and continuous improvement activity

The Role

  • Provide timely and accurate advice to employees and managers on people policies, procedures and day-to-day queries.
  • Triage employee relations cases, independently managing lower to moderate-risk matters and escalating complex cases appropriately.
  • Support formal processes including disciplinary, grievance, absence, probation and performance matters through effective coordination, documentation and guidance.
  • Maintain accurate case records and employee data in line with privacy, confidentiality and data-management requirements.
  • Support employee lifecycle activity, including onboarding, offboarding, contractual changes and benefits or payroll coordination where required.
  • Coordinate client vetting requirements, monitor progress and support the delivery of relevant service measures.
  • Support policy reviews, research, communications and the implementation of process or legislative changes.
  • Contribute to People Experience projects focused on employee engagement, experience and operational improvement.
  • Work collaboratively within the people experience team and with wider business stakeholders to support team and organisational priorities.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in an HR advisory or generalist people role.
  • A working knowledge of UK employment law and HR practice.
  • A CIPD qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Confidence advising employees and managers, with the judgement to recognise when escalation is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a clear and professional approach.
  • Strong organisation, planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Effective stakeholder-management and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • The ability to work with complexity and nuance while maintaining a positive employee experience.

It would be great if you could also

  • A CIPD qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Experience within a professional services environment.
  • Experience within a fast-paced working environment.
