About Ketryx

Ketryx is an AI platform that enables healthcare and life sciences companies to ship life-saving products in weeks instead of years.

Exploding product complexity is burying companies in compliance paperwork and blocking innovation. Our AI software removes this friction, dissolving the historical tradeoff between innovation and compliance, and enables regulated industries to innovate at the pace of modern software.

Ketryx already touches the lives of millions of patients and powers 4 of the world’s top 5 life science companies and 25% of the Fortune 500 life science market. Backed by Lightspeed Ventures, our founders are the former Head of AI at Amgen and CTO of Wolfram Cloud.

Healthcare and life sciences is just the beginning for us. Automotive, aerospace, energy — if it’s regulated, it’s because society decided it matters. These products move humanity, shape our future, and are safety-critical. Come join us and help build the AI platform to power safe innovation.

The Role

We're hiring a Head of Operations to own all things operations & people as Ketryx scales. You'll inherit a small, capable team and a company that is growing quickly across the US and Europe, with all the ambiguity and opportunity that comes with it. Your mandate is over the people here at Ketryx & how we work, by building + refining our systems, hiring engine, and culture that allow us to grow fast and execute without losing what makes our team effective.

This is a hands-on leadership role based in Boston, including quarterly travel to our Vienna office. You'll set our strategy around cross-functional collaboration, be responsible for designing how we work, and answer a tactical People question in Slack. Our customers build products that keep people alive. The faster we help them ship safely, the sooner these products reach patients. How well we hire, develop, and support our own team is critical!

You will report to Erez, our CEO and Co-founder

Responsibilities

Business operations

  • Build and run the operating system. Design Ketryx's operating rhythm end to end: weekly leadership meetings, monthly business reviews, quarterly planning and retros, and annual goal setting. Make it one cadence across Boston and Vienna.
  • Own planning and OKRs. Lead the annual and multi-year operating plan with Erez and Finance. Run the company-wide OKR process, from setting goals to grading them.
  • Define and track company KPIs. Set the metrics that tell us whether we're winning across GTM, Product, Engineering, and Delivery. Build a single source of truth for them, and use AI tools to automate the reporting instead of assembling it by hand.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives. Take the company's highest-priority projects that span teams, resolve ownership gaps, and see them through. Lead root-cause analysis when something critical breaks.
  • Build for the next stage. Spot where our processes, tools, and structures won't hold as we grow, and fix them before they break. Over time, hire and lead a small business operations team.

People & talent strategy

  • Lead the Talent and People leaders. Manage our (Director/Manager) of Talent Acquisition and (Director/Manager) of People. They own day-to-day execution in their departments; you set direction, coach them, and hold their teams to annual goals and metrics tied to company OKRs.
  • Set the people strategy. Translate the company plan into a people plan: where we invest in headcount, which capabilities we build or buy, and how the org should be structured as we scale.

Required Skills

  • 8+ years in HR/People Operations with at least three leading the function or a major pillar of it, especially at high growth startups
  • Strong opinions on what can work, a willingness to try something new, and a network of People leaders to tap into for broader questions
  • Direct experience scaling a company through significant headcount growth — you've seen what breaks at 100, 200, 500 people and have opinions about it
  • Comfort operating without a large team or established playbook — you build the thing and then run it
  • Strong recruiting instincts; you can assess engineering and GTM talent markets and partner credibly with engineering leaders
  • Demonstrated ownership of compensation and leveling design
  • Multi-country employment experience (US and EU) or clear evidence you can get up to speed fast
  • Sound judgment in ambiguous, confidential situations, and the directness to bring hard news to the leadership team early

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting distributed teams across US and European time zones
