About the role

About Pulley

Pulley helps the country’s top architects, builders, and retailers speed up every project in their portfolio. With AI-powered permitting intelligence and expert guidance, we eliminate costly delays and bring predictability across the full lifecycle of commercial projects.

Today, permitting is the slowest, most uncertain part of building, spread across 19,000+ jurisdictions with different rules, timelines, and surprises. Pulley gives project teams the clarity and predictability they need to move from planning to opening without delays.

We support rollout programs for brands like J.Crew, Solidcore, and Hibbett Sports, as well as major data center buildouts, EV charging networks, and other commercial projects. Our platform dramatically reduces approval timelines, improves forecasting accuracy, and removes thousands of hours of manual work from design and construction teams.

Founded in 2021, Pulley combines deep permitting expertise with purpose-built AI from people who have created products used by millions. We’re backed by CRV, Susa Ventures, Fifth Wall, and leaders from Plaid, Segment, ServiceTitan, and Procore.

What You’ll Do

As Pulley’s Head of Business Development and Partnerships, you’ll work directly with our co-founder Andreas to grow partnerships into a meaningful, repeatable source of revenue. You’ll build on existing relationships and early successes, bring structure to what’s working, and identify new opportunities across our markets.

In this role, you will:

  • Set priorities across existing and new partnership opportunities, focusing on those with the greatest business potential.
  • Develop and deepen relationships with partners and industry leaders who can expand Pulley’s reach.
  • Source, pitch, negotiate, and launch partnerships, owning the work from the first conversation through execution.
  • Build programs that give partners compelling reasons to work with Pulley and stay engaged over time.
  • Work closely with Sales to turn partner relationships and introductions into qualified opportunities and revenue.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and our founders on initiatives that strengthen relationships, build awareness, and generate pipeline.
  • Establish the processes and playbooks to make successful partnerships repeatable and scalable.
  • Measure results and bring market feedback into our positioning and go-to-market strategy.

Who You Are

  • You’re an entrepreneurial builder who can turn early traction into a program that scales.
  • You’re a systems thinker who brings structure to multiple opportunities without losing momentum.
  • You can spot the people and organizations that open doors, earn their trust, and turn relationships into business.
  • You move easily between strategy and hands-on execution.
  • You’re comfortable with ambiguity and bring your own ideas about where to focus and what to try.
  • You collaborate naturally across Sales, Marketing, and leadership, and follow through on what you start.

Need to Have

  • Experience building or growing partnerships, business development, or go-to-market initiatives with measurable results.
  • A track record of developing external relationships that create sustained business opportunities.
  • Evidence that you’ve taken an initiative from idea through execution and built processes that support its growth.
  • Strong commercial judgment: you can evaluate opportunities, prioritize your time, and negotiate agreements.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building or scaling a partner or channel program.
  • Familiarity with construction, commercial real estate, or selling technology and services into those industries.
  • Experience navigating large enterprise organizations and engaging senior decision-makers.
  • Experience working with Marketing on initiatives that generate pipeline.
