Make a difference every day — with a team that values you.

Vivvi is reimagining early childhood education. We’re not your typical preschool—and definitely not just another daycare. Our mission is to make exceptional early learning accessible to all families and to create fulfilling, growth-oriented careers for educators.

As a Head Infant Teacher, you’ll lead an engaging, child-centered infant classroom where curiosity is encouraged, families feel supported, and your professional voice matters.

Who We Are

Vivvi is not your typical preschool — and we’re certainly not just another daycare!

We’re reinventing early learning for today’s families by creating environments where children thrive and educators are truly valued.

At Vivvi, our mission is to provide exceptional education for young children while empowering teachers to do what they love in a supportive, inspiring community.

About the Role

We’re looking for a qualified Head Infant Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and eager to make a difference in the lives of infants. In this role, you’ll create a nurturing, responsive classroom environment, lead developmentally appropriate learning experiences, and support each infant’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide responsive, nurturing care for infants in a warm, engaging classroom environment.
  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate, inquiry-based activities and learning experiences for infants.
  • Support infants in reaching key developmental milestones through exploration, play, movement, and sensory experiences.
  • Establish consistent routines that support infants’ individual needs, including feeding, sleeping, diapering, and transitions.
  • Build trusting, open relationships with families through consistent communication and partnership.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive infant classroom that encourages discovery and exploration.
  • Observe and document children’s development and use observations to inform individualized learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with co-teachers and leadership to uphold Vivvi’s mission, curriculum, and standards of care.

What We’re Looking For

  • Have 1–5 years of experience working in a Head Teacher capacity, preferably with infants.
  • Hold an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Meet the appropriate education and credential requirements to serve as a Head Infant Teacher in New York.
  • Have experience working directly with infants and a strong understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Value and create trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Are already or are willing to become CPR and First Aid certified.
  • Are fully vaccinated against COVID.
  • Have received or are open to receiving your flu vaccination (Vivvi Upper East Side only).
