About the role

Who We Are

Xpanner is redefining construction by empowering the people who build our world. We retrofit heavy machinery with easy-to-use software and Physical AI, tackling critical safety and productivity challenges on the ground. Through our subscription-based automation model (AaaS), we deliver task-specific, field-ready solutions that immediately maximize jobsite efficiency without massive upfront hardware costs. Backed by top-tier global venture capital and optimized by the industry's largest physical dataset, we are actively transforming renewable energy and infrastructure projects today. We don't just build abstract concepts— we put real, practical solutions to work in the field.

About the Team

The Geospatial Solutions Team is the link between high-tech GPS systems and heavy machinery. Working directly on job sites, these hands-on problem solvers install, calibrate, and troubleshoot Xpanner's smart GPS systems on excavators, pile drivers, and skid steer loaders. Their daily work ensures that every piece of automated machinery is perfectly aligned with the project's digital twin.

They are the critical link that makes Xpanner’s construction automation possible. By ensuring pinpoint machine accuracy, minimizing equipment downtime through active maintenance, and training field operators, they turn cutting-edge technology into reliable, real-world solutions.

What You’ll Do

How you’ll make impact:

You’ll bring advanced GPS machine control to life on active job sites—installing, calibrating, and troubleshooting systems on heavy equipment to keep machines accurate, reliable, and productive. Through hands-on field support and operator training, you’ll help turn Xpanner’s automation technology into real-world impact for construction teams.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Machine Control Installation and Setup
  • Install, set up, calibrate, and maintain GPS machine control systems on pile-driving machines, excavators, and other heavy equipment to ensure precise positioning and guidance.
  • Set up GPS base and rover systems as needed to support accurate equipment operation and site execution.
  • Field Accuracy and Site Support
  • Perform job site localizations, calibrations, diagnostics, and ongoing equipment checks to maintain system accuracy, reliability, and performance.
  • Apply construction staking and layout knowledge to help ensure machine guidance aligns with site design, specifications, and field conditions.
  • Training and Technical Support
  • Train operators and site personnel on GPS hardware, software, machine guidance workflows, and best practices for effective field use.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site hardware and software issues quickly to reduce downtime and keep projects moving.
  • Customer and Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Communicate effectively with operators, project managers, superintendents, site surveyors, engineers, and other job site personnel to support smooth project execution.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and service teams to address customer needs, deliver field support, and implement system upgrades.
  • Documentation and Safety
  • Document service activities, customer interactions, installations, calibrations, troubleshooting steps, and training procedures accurately and consistently.
  • Follow all safety protocols while working on active job sites and around heavy equipment.

What You’ll Bring

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience with GPS machine control solutions, surveying, construction technology, or related field work.
  • Proven experience installing, supporting, and calibrating GPS machine control systems on heavy machinery.
  • Knowledge of job site localizations, calibrations, and diagnostic techniques used to maintain field accuracy and system reliability.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and initiative-taking skills in hands-on field environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork, customer support, and job site collaboration.
  • Flexible and willing to travel extensively (50-75%)
  • Founder’s mentality with a proactive, ownership-driven approach to solving problems, supporting customers, and improving field operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing vendors, contractors, or projects is highly preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of heavy equipment GPS systems

Salary Range

$95,000—$105,000 USD

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Join a fast-growing company helping modernize one of the world’s largest industries through construction automation and intelligent equipment technology.
  • Play a foundational role in a high-growth U.S. operation, where you will have direct ownership in building, scaling, and optimizing processes across the organization.
  • Drive high-impact initiatives by partnering closely with cross-functional teams and leadership in a dynamic, unified environment.
  • Competitive salary, performance incentives, retirement plan, and flexible work environment.
