About the role

The Opportunity

At InCharge, our success is built on operational excellence and strong leadership at every level. We're looking for a General Manager to lead the day-to-day sales and revenue generation of our Sales & Service office. This is a strategic leadership role reporting into the Head of Branch Operations that is focused on driving service and construction revenue, growing a sustainable backlog, and maintaining accountability to monthly and annual gross margin goals. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team, streamline sales-to-operations workflows, and foster a collaborative, inclusive culture as you drive InCharge’s growth across your designated region.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue and margin growth across all business lines including EV Charging, Lighting and Electrical, Battery Energy Storage (BESS), Solar, and HVAC Equipment Electrical Installations
  • Oversee full P&L ownership including revenue, margin, budgeting, and cost control, while ensuring the branch meets or exceeds its financial targets
  • Drive strong customer relationship management with key customers, vendors, distributors, and partners through quick response times, timely resolution of service escalations, quarterly service reviews, and continuous improvement
  • Actively manage labor resource planning by aligning technician headcount with your branch project pipeline
  • Track key operational KPIs, including tech productivity and utilization, backlog health, job costing, margin, and customer satisfaction
  • Provide operational leadership for the entire branch staff, including office personnel and technicians. You will direct all day-to-day branch operations including scheduling, dispatch, field service execution, and workflow efficiency
  • Manage the workforce development at the branch level, including recruiting, training, and developing technicians, supervisors, and office personnel. You will set performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations
  • Maintain a strategic growth and business development mindset to identify new service opportunities, market segments, and revenue streams. Ensure branch alignment with corporate strategy and industry trends
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Support and grow the field services, engineer and project teams through process improvement and quality assurance for customer contracts
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure compliance and execution
  • Manage general conditions including inventory, materials, environmental controls, and field coordination.

Your Experience & Capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, construction management, operations management, engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in branch operations, construction management, electrical services, industrial services, maintenance operations, or related industries
  • Proven success managing overall branch performance, including operational execution, financial results, customer satisfaction, safety, and workforce development
  • Demonstrated experience establishing, growing, or leading a new branch, business unit, or market presence from startup phase through sustainable growth
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cost control initiatives
  • Experience developing and executing strategic growth plans, including business development, customer acquisition, market expansion, and revenue growth initiatives
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across field operations, project management, sales, and administrative functions
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to build organizational culture, drive accountability, and foster employee engagement in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to effectively engage customers, vendors, employees, and executive leadership
