About Synquery

Synquery is a fast-growing AI research company that is disrupting how organizations access and scale human expertise. Backed by top-tier venture capital firms, we partner with leading consulting firms and investors to unlock new ways of working. Our culture values speed, entrepreneurial thinking, and the drive to win. As we continue our rapid growth, we’re looking for exceptional people who want to grow into leadership roles and help shape the future of AI in business.

The Role

We’re hiring a General Manager to own the full relationship and commercial performance of one to two of Synquery’s most important client accounts. This is a player-coach role: you’ll set the strategic direction for your accounts, drive revenue growth through expansion and upselling, and manage a small team of Strategic Project Leads (SPLs) who handle day-to-day project execution.

This is the right role for someone who can operate at the intersection of commercial strategy, client advisory, and team leadership. You’ll be the person your clients call when the stakes are high and the person your SPLs look to for direction, prioritization, and development.

What You’ll Do

Account Growth & Commercial Operations

  • Own the commercial strategy for your accounts—identify expansion opportunities, structure pricing and proposals, and drive upsell and cross-sell initiatives.
  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of each client’s business, priorities, and decision-making structure to position Synquery as a long-term strategic partner.
  • Forecast account health and revenue trajectory; proactively surface risks and opportunities to leadership.

Client Relationship & Strategic Advisory

  • Serve as the senior point of contact for your accounts, owning executive-level relationships and ensuring client satisfaction across all active projects.
  • Lead strategic conversations with clients—quarterly business reviews, roadmap discussions, and escalation management.
  • Translate client feedback and unmet needs into actionable product and service insights for internal teams.

Team Leadership & SPL Management

  • Manage and develop a team of Strategic Project Leads, setting priorities, coaching on client management, and ensuring consistent delivery quality.
  • Establish workflows and standards that enable your SPLs to execute independently while maintaining account-level visibility.
  • Allocate project resources across your account portfolio to balance client needs with team capacity.

Product & Cross-Functional Impact

  • Partner with product and engineering teams to relay client needs, inform the roadmap, and pilot new capabilities within your accounts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and recruiting to ensure your accounts have access to the best expert talent on the platform.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in account management, client success, consulting, or a similar client-facing role with commercial responsibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top academic institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow accounts or expand commercial relationships—you understand how to find and close revenue opportunities within an existing book of business.
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members; comfortable giving feedback and setting expectations.
  • Sharp commercial instincts—you can structure pricing, scope engagements, and negotiate confidently.
  • Strong communication and executive presence; you’re credible in front of senior stakeholders and can manage complex conversations with ease.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset—you thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Nashville or Boston required (Nashville preferred)

Why Join Synquery?

  • Be at the forefront of AI research and real-world deployment.
  • Work with top-tier clients in consulting and investing.
  • Join a high-growth startup backed by leading investors.
  • Build your career into leadership roles as the company scales.
  • Competitive salary, benefits, and equity package.

⚡ Synquery is for people who want to win. If you’re entrepreneurial, commercially minded, and ready to own the growth of high-value client relationships, we’d love to hear from you.
