About the role
Build what’s next at Subsense
Brain-computer interfaces could change how people communicate and interact with the world. At Subsense, we’re developing an AI-native NanoBCI: a non-surgical platform designed for two-way communication between the brain and computers. Our work brings together nanomaterials, neuroscience, hardware, and AI, starting with the people who need it most—including those living with ALS and Parkinson’s disease.
With $27 million raised, a team of scientists, engineers, and builders, and two Silicon Valley labs, we’re advancing through in vivo preclinical research. The scientific questions are consequential, and there is substantial work ahead. Patient safety, privacy, and scientific integrity guide how we approach it.
Joining Subsense means taking ownership of a meaningful part of that challenge. We share ideas openly, value honest results, and learn from what doesn’t work. In a team our size, your decisions and discoveries can help shape the technology—and the company building it.
Where We Hire
R&D, AI, nanoscience, neuroscience, electrical and hardware engineering, software engineering, lab operations, business operations, marketing, strategy, and management.
What You Bring
Deep expertise in your field, curiosity about neurotech, a drive to learn, and comfort in a fast-moving, early-stage environment.
