Catalog is building environments that help push frontier intelligence forward. We work on how AI systems learn from experience and become capable of increasingly complex, useful work.
Our focus is reinforcement learning and post-training. Better environments and feedback can unlock new capabilities, and we want to help define what the next generation of AI can do. The work is early, the questions are open, and there is room to make a lasting contribution.
Role
As our founding GTM hire, you’ll help build the company around that ambition. You’ll work closely with the founders to find teams tackling important AI problems, understand where Catalog can make a difference, and build the relationships that turn our technical work into a lasting business.
You’ll have room to shape the market we pursue, the story we tell, and the commercial function we build.
What you’ll do
- Build relationships with ambitious AI labs and enterprise teams.
- Discover where Catalog can make a meaningful difference and turn opportunities into commercial partnerships.
- Own customer relationships from the first conversation through delivery and growth.
- Help shape our positioning, commercial approach, and priorities as we learn.
You’re a fit if
- You have 5-10 years of sales or business development experience, with meaningful experience selling technical products or services.
- You can build trust with technical people and close complex deals.
- You think commercially, learn quickly, and enjoy creating your own playbook.
- You are deeply curious about AI and want to work close to the frontier.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and want real ownership in building a company.
- You are based in, or willing to relocate to, San Francisco.
Nice to have
- Experience as an early GTM hire at a startup.
- Experience in AI, data infrastructure, developer tools, or technical services.
- Relationships with researchers, AI labs, or enterprise technology teams.
How we work
We are a small, high-trust, high-intensity founding team. We work in person from North Beach, San Francisco. We debate ideas openly, decide quickly, and ship constantly.
This is an in-office role.
