The Role

As an AI Builder (Forward Deployed Engineer), you'll be the speed and execution engine behind innovative AI initiatives. Working directly with business stakeholders, you'll identify opportunities, rapidly prototype solutions, and help transform successful concepts into scalable, production-ready systems.

This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous business problems, experimenting with emerging AI technologies, and delivering practical solutions that create measurable business value.

This position is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Role Responsibilities

  • Translate business challenges into practical, working AI solutions.
  • Rapidly build, test, and iterate using Claude Cowork as a primary delivery tool.
  • Leverage Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, and other modern AI development tools.
  • Develop full-stack solutions spanning front-end, back-end, APIs, integrations, and AI orchestration.
  • Build Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions, including RAG architectures, AI agents, workflow automation, and prompt engineering.
  • Take prototypes from initial concept through development, deployment, and production.
  • Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, define problems, and shape solutions rather than simply execute predefined requirements.
  • Demonstrate working solutions, gather feedback, and iterate quickly.
  • Navigate enterprise AI governance, security, and compliance requirements while maintaining development speed and quality.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a hybrid environment to drive AI adoption and deliver business outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with modern AI development tools such as Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, or GitHub Copilot.
  • Experience developing Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.
  • Knowledge of RAG architectures, AI agents, workflow automation, and prompt engineering.
  • Full-stack development experience, including Python, React, and/or Next.js.
  • Experience building and integrating APIs and connecting enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with AI frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, LangChain, or PydanticAI.
  • Experience building and deploying solutions within enterprise environments.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and demonstrate AI solutions to business stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through ambiguity, move quickly, and take ownership of delivery.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid capacity in the Minneapolis, MN area.

Why This Role?

This isn't an opportunity to simply maintain existing systems. You'll be building new AI solutions, experimenting with emerging technologies, collaborating directly with clients, and helping define the future of enterprise AI.

If you're someone who:

  • Gets excited about the latest AI tools and technologies.
  • Builds and experiments rather than just talks about AI.
  • Moves quickly from idea to prototype to production.
  • Enjoys solving complex, ambiguous business problems.
  • Wants exposure to major enterprise clients and high-impact initiatives.
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to be at the forefront of practical AI adoption.

We'd love to hear from you. Join Brillio and help build what's next in AI.
