About the role

Bring Your Practice to a Firm Built Around Advisor Support and Retirement Plan Experience

At BCG Wealth Management, we help experienced advisors grow through practical support, collaboration, and deep retirement plan experience. Our New Jersey and Pennsylvania teams work with individuals, families, business owners, and employers across wealth management, financial planning, insurance, and employer-sponsored retirement plans.

Many advisors build their practice one household at a time. That still matters. But retirement plan relationships can create a different kind of opportunity: access to employers, plan participants, business owners, and individuals who need help making decisions about their financial future.

Here, advisors can serve individual clients while also working in and around retirement plan relationships. For the right advisor, that can mean more planning conversations, deeper relationships, and a broader way to grow.

What Makes This Opportunity Different

Growing a practice takes initiative. It also takes people and resources you can count on. At BCG Wealth Management, we understand how individual wealth management, employer relationships, participant engagement, insurance planning, and retirement income needs can connect.

We provide support and retirement plan experience to help advisors build relationships across these markets while staying focused on thoughtful, client-centered advice. Through BCG Securities, Inc., our team draws on more than 50 years of experience supporting financial advisors and their clients.

Our advisors have access to:

  • Retirement plan experience, resources, and support
  • Wealth management, financial planning, investment, and insurance resources
  • Internal support staff and a planning desk
  • Practice-management support
  • Collaboration with professionals across planning, investments, insurance, operations, and retirement plans
  • Training and development resources
  • A team-oriented culture focused on advisor support and long-term client relationships

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced Financial Advisor who wants to grow with a firm that values advisor initiative, collaboration, and client service.

The ideal candidate is motivated, relationship-driven, and interested in building a practice that may include individual wealth management, financial planning, insurance solutions, and retirement plan relationships.

This opportunity may be a good fit if you enjoy working with individuals, families, businesses, employers, and plan participants, and see the value of connecting retirement plan relationships with broader financial planning needs. Prior retirement plan experience is welcome, but not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial plans based on each client’s goals, financial circumstances, time horizon, and risk tolerance.
  • Provide investment recommendations and portfolio guidance consistent with client objectives, applicable standards of care, and firm policies.
  • Deliver ongoing client service through regular reviews, plan updates, and portfolio recommendations as client needs evolve.
  • Help clients address retirement income, wealth management, and insurance needs as part of the planning process.
  • Discuss insurance and annuity solutions where appropriate.
  • Support retirement plan relationships, plan participants, and employer-sponsored retirement plan opportunities, where applicable.
  • Develop new relationships and grow your practice through consistent business-development efforts.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, service, and follow-through.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, support staff, and subject matter resources to support advisors, clients, plan sponsors, and participants.

What We Offer

  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Comprehensive health and welfare benefits, including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, life insurance, and long-term disability
  • Internal support staff, planning desk access, and practice-management resources
  • Retirement plan experience, resources, and support
  • Training and development resources
  • Collaboration with experienced professionals across planning, investments, insurance, retirement plans, operations, and client service
  • A culture focused on advisor support, practical problem-solving, and long-term relationship building

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a Financial Advisor
  • Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, or Series 7 with Series 65 and Series 63
  • Life and Health insurance licenses preferred
  • Experience with retirement plans, employer-sponsored plans, education markets, participant engagement, or business-owner relationships preferred, but not required
  • Strong client relationship management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities
  • Commitment to ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, and client-focused service

Compensation

Compensation for this role is production-based and may include advisory fees, commissions, and other compensation based on business generated, subject to the applicable payout structure, licensing and registration status, and firm policies. Actual compensation will vary.

All applications will be handled confidentially.

Horace Mann was founded in 1945 by two Springfield, Illinois, teachers who saw a need for quality, affordable auto insurance for teachers. Since then, we’ve broadened our mission to helping all educators protect what they have today and prepare for a successful tomorrow. And with our broadened mission has come corporate growth: We serve more than 4,100 school districts nationwide, we’re publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange (symbol: HMN) and we have more than $12 billion in assets.

We’re motivated by the fact that educators take care of our children’s future, and we believe they deserve someone to look after theirs. We help educators identify their financial goals and develop plans to achieve them. This includes insurance to protect what they have today and financial products to help them prepare for their future. Our tailored offerings include special rates and benefits for educators.
