REVEL is an AI robotics company developing physical intelligence for general-purpose humanoid robots. We capture the force, dexterity and intent of human work with our Neural Gambit wearable, and use it to train RAI, the intelligence that powers our robots. Our R&D and engineering facilities are in Prague, Czech Republic. This role is on-site with our team in Prague.

The role

This is an on-site position based in Prague, the Czech Republic.

You'll run REVEL's day-to-day finance and operations, working directly with the founders. You'll keep the books clean and current, own the company's tax agenda, pay vendors and people on time, manage company cards and spending, and handle ordering and purchasing for the lab and office. Your first big job is cleanup: putting records, receipts and processes in order so the company can grow without problems later.

This is a high-ownership role for someone precise and organized who likes building processes from scratch and keeping them running.

Responsibilities

Accounting and tax

• Own day-to-day accounting with our external accountants: invoices, receipts, bank reconciliation, and month-end and year-end close.
• Own the tax agenda: VAT, corporate income tax, payroll filings and deadlines, and communication with the tax authorities and our advisors.
• Lead the cleanup: track down missing receipts and documents, fix miscategorized transactions and bring the books fully up to date.

Payments and spending

• Prepare and send payments to vendors and contractors, and keep accounts payable organized so nothing is paid late or twice.
• Prepare the monthly payouts to employees and contractors.
• Issue and manage employee company cards: limits, the spending policy, collecting receipts and reconciling card spend.

Operations and purchasing

• Order and buy materials, components, equipment and office supplies, compare quotes and track deliveries.
• Manage vendors and suppliers: quotes, contracts, invoices and payment terms.
• Set up and document simple processes for approvals, purchasing, expenses and payments.
• Keep the office running smoothly.
• Give the founders cash flow overviews and help with reporting and due diligence requests.

Requirements

• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping or finance operations, ideally at a startup or small company.
• Working knowledge of Czech accounting and tax: VAT, corporate income tax and payroll filings.
• Very organized and precise, the kind of person who closes every loop.
• Comfortable with online banking, payment tools and accounting software.
• Czech and English, for working with authorities, vendors and the team.

Bonus qualifications

• Experience cleaning up books or setting up finance processes at a growing company.
• Experience with multi-currency payments or intercompany invoicing with a foreign parent company.
• Experience buying technical or hardware components.
