About the role

Who we are

ISS is a leading workplace experience and facility management company, providing placemaking solutions that contribute to better business performance and make life easier, more productive, and enjoyable—delivered to high standards by people who care.

With a global presence spanning over 46 countries, ISS combines international expertise with local insights to create safe, efficient, and sustainable environments.

At ISS, our employees—whom we call "placemakers"—are at the heart of everything we do. Empowered by world-class resources and driven by purpose, they are united by a passion to make a real difference every day.

The Opportunity

We are excited to offer opportunities for First Nations candidates to join our team as Fly-In-Fly-Out Utilities across our remote South Australian Mine Villages. These roles are a great pathway for anyone looking to build a long-term career in the mining and resources sector, with training and support provided.

Whether you’re just starting out or bringing previous experience, we welcome you to apply.

You’ll be part of a supportive team helping keep our remote villages running smoothly. Roles may include cleaning, catering, grounds work, food service, retail utilities, or all-rounder tasks — all essential and valued parts of supporting our workforce onsite.

We offer both Full-Time and Casual positions, with flexibility to work across different areas including:

  • Housekeeping & Village Cleaning
  • Kitchen Hand, Dining Room & Catering
  • Grounds & Outdoor Utilities
  • Mine Site Cleaning
  • Retail & Tavern Utilities
  • All-Rounder Utility roles

What We Offer

  • Highly competitive wage package to reward your skills and dedication
  • Lifestyle-friendly roster offering flexibility and work-life balance
  • All-inclusive living – meals, accommodation, and uniforms provided while on site
  • Wellbeing support – mental, financial, and physical health programs available to all staff
  • A global team culture – work with a diverse, inclusive organisation that nurtures talent
  • Ongoing development – access to training and clear pathways for career growth
  • Reward and Recognition Program - access to discounts and vouchers across major Retailers in Australia

Who We’re Looking For

We encourage applications from First Nations people of all backgrounds and experience levels. If you’re motivated, reliable, and keen to learn, we want to hear from you.

Below are the general criteria — if you don’t meet everything, please still apply. We are happy to discuss pathways and support:

  • A valid Australian Driver’s License (support can be discussed if you are working toward this).
  • Full working rights in Australia.
  • RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) is helpful for some roles — if you don’t have it yet, we can guide you on how to get it.
  • Experience in hospitality, cleaning, or teamwork is great — but we also welcome those new to these areas.
  • Ability to work a FIFO roster from Adelaide Airport.
  • Police Clearance (within 12 months).
  • We understand some people may have past history and we are open to respectful, case-by-case discussions. Don’t let this stop you from applying.
  • Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test.

If you’re looking for a fresh start, a chance to grow, or a pathway into the mining industry — this is a great opportunity. We strongly encourage First Nations candidates to apply and join our team.

” Connecting People and Places to Make the World Work Better”.

ISS is passionate about creating a culture that values inclusion and diversity, where all our people are treated fairly and respectfully. We encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Veterans, people with disability, people from different cultural backgrounds and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer and asexual (LGBTIQA+) people.

We are an ethical employer, recognised by the industry for paying fairly and ensuring a safe working environment for all our staff. Read more about ISS in Australia and New Zealand on our website.
