About the role

About Carvana

At Carvana, we sell cars - but we’re not car salesmen. Our promise is simple: we won’t sell a car to a customer that we wouldn’t sell to our own mom. Period. That’s why every vehicle goes through Carvana’s process, where it’s inspected, perfected, and prepared to meet our high standards before it ever reaches you. And now, we’re bringing those same values to our new car dealerships - delivering quality, trust, and care you’d be proud to share with Mom. We strive to provide only the highest quality vehicles to our customers in our mission to deliver a no-hassle, better car buying experience. We are actively looking for passionate and talented individuals who can help us deliver on that promise. Think you’ve got what it takes to join our team? Keep reading below to see what we’re looking for!

About the team and position

Pay: $28-$30

Carvana Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is a factory-authorized Stellantis dealership adding an Express Lead Technician to our service department. Our Express lane keeps customers moving with fast, high-quality maintenance, and this role leads the team that makes it happen while staying hands-on in the work.

We’re looking for an Express Lead Technician to be the leader of our Express team. This is a true player-coach role: you’ll mentor and coach our Express technicians, hold the line on quality, and jump in on the tools whenever the lane gets busy. You’ll also step into the main line to complete repairs recommended during Express visits, so customers get everything done in one trip.

If you’re detail-oriented, love developing people, and take pride in doing the job right the first time, we want to talk to you.

What you’ll be doing

  • Mentor the Express Team: Mentor Express technicians on technique, efficiency, and quality. Give regular, constructive feedback, share what you know, and help them build their skills and their careers.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality checks on completed Express work to confirm every service meets factory procedures and our standards before the vehicle goes back to the customer.
  • Work Alongside the Team: Perform Express services (oil and filter changes, fluid services, tire rotations, multi-point inspections, and other maintenance) and lean in to keep vehicles moving when the lane is busy.
  • Complete Main Line Repairs: Perform repairs recommended from Express visits and approved by the customer (for example, a brake job found during an oil change), following factory repair procedures and service information.
  • Warranty and Recall Work: Perform factory recall campaigns and warranty repairs in line with Stellantis procedures.
  • Customer and Advisor Communication: Document findings and communicate them to advisors using digital inspections and video so customers understand what their vehicle needs.
  • Operational Excellence: Keep the Express lane clean, safe, and organized, with tools and equipment properly stored and maintained.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with advisors, parts, fellow technicians, and leadership to keep a steady, seamless workflow.

What you should have

  • Express or quick-lube service experience in a dealership environment (CDJR strongly preferred)
  • Stellantis training
  • Ability to perform main line repairs, including brakes and other common maintenance and repair work
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in mentoring and coaching other technicians
  • Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Comfortable using factory scan tools, digital inspections, and service information
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong work ethic and team attitude
  • ASE certifications not required

What we’ll offer in return

  • Full-Time Position with a competitive hourly wage
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits
  • 401K with company match
  • A multitude of perks including student loan payments, discounts on vehicles, benefits for your pets, and much more
  • A great wellness program to keep you healthy and happy, both physically and mentally
  • Access to opportunities to expand your skillset and share your knowledge with others across the organization
  • A company culture of promotions from within, with a start-up atmosphere allowing for varied and rapid career development
  • A seat in one of the fastest-growing companies in the country
  • Backed by Carvana, recognized on the 2026 Forbes America’s Best Large Employers list
  • Growth opportunities

Other requirements

To be able to do your job at Carvana, there are some basic requirements we want to share with you.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • A clean driving record with no more than two moving violations or DUI’s in the last three years.
  • The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions
  • Will be required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials
  • May be required to work overtime and weekends
  • Frequent standing and sitting with varying periods of each
  • May at times require working different shifts
  • Lift up to 60 pounds frequently
  • Walk up to three miles each day

Of course, we’ll make any reasonable accommodations for those with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their jobs.
