We foster a culture of integrity, innovation, and collaboration - where your ideas matter, and your contributions make a real impact.

As the Enterprise Applications Engineer (DMS), you will serve as the primary administrator of NetDocuments, driving the firm's document management strategy while leading the adoption of innovative NDMax AI capabilities. This position offers the opportunity to partner with technology, governance, and business stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen information governance, and deliver cutting-edge solutions that support attorneys and staff across the organization. Reporting to the Manager of Enterprise Applications, you will also contribute to broader enterprise applications support and strategic technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator for the NetDocuments document management system, ensuring platform stability, performance, database integrity, and ongoing enhancements.
  • Configure, deploy, and promote adoption of NDMax capabilities, including CollabSpaces, auto-profiling, metadata extraction, ND Context Graph, natural language search, and other AI-powered features.
  • Partner with the Director of Data Governance to maintain governance standards, ethical walls, and compliance requirements.
  • Test, package, and deploy NetDocuments updates and enhancements to ensure secure and seamless system upgrades.
  • Execute large-scale data imports and exports with a high degree of accuracy and attention to confidentiality.
  • Manage document security requests, workspace permissions, ethical walls, and special-access requirements.
  • Collaborate with NetDocuments and third-party vendors to troubleshoot issues, validate fixes, and implement platform improvements.
  • Provide backup administration and operational support for Finance and HR enterprise applications when needed.
  • Lead DMS-related projects, deliver user onboarding and training, and create technical documentation that promotes user adoption and self-service.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen system reliability across supported platforms.
  • Stay current on legal technology trends, knowledge management practices, and emerging AI-driven solutions that create business value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four or more years of experience administering an enterprise document or content management platform, preferably within a professional services environment. Direct NetDocuments experience is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience administering NetDocuments, including familiarity with NDMax technologies and AI-enabled document workflows.
  • Understanding of ethical walls, access management tools, and information governance best practices.
  • Exposure to Finance or HR enterprise applications such as Aderant, Paylocity, or similar business systems.
  • Experience with scripting and automation of routine administrative tasks.
  • Working knowledge of data querying, troubleshooting, validation, and secure data migration processes.
  • Strong communication, training, and consulting skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Prior law firm or professional services experience and familiarity with legal workflows, matter-centric organization, and compliance requirements.
  • Interest in legal AI, knowledge management, and emerging technologies that support document intelligence and automation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
