About The Opportunity

We are looking for a high-impact Vice President of Engineering / Senior Engineering Director to lead strategic engineering initiatives across OKX’s core products. You will guide engineering leaders and teams working across multiple disciplines, helping them deliver secure, reliable, and scalable experiences for users worldwide.

This role will set technical direction, strengthen collaboration across engineering and product functions, and improve how teams plan, build, and operate critical systems. You will help ensure that architecture, execution, and operational priorities support the company’s product strategy and growth.

What You'll Be Doing

Strategic Leadership & Operational Excellence

  • Engineering Alignment & Delivery: Improve coordination across engineering teams and functions, clarify ownership and decision-making, and help teams deliver product priorities with fewer bottlenecks.
  • Organizational Design & Scale: Continuously refine engineering workflows, team structures, and operating rhythms to support business growth, team autonomy, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Talent & Leadership Development: Mentor, manage, and scale engineering managers and senior leaders; establish high standards for engineering craftsmanship, career growth, and technical accountability.

Technical Direction & Architecture

  • Technical Direction: Guide architecture and engineering decisions across complex product environments, ensuring teams balance scalability, security, performance, and user needs.
  • Engineering Standards & Reliability: Champion industry-leading engineering practices across software design, code health, automated testing, continuous deployment, and system observability.
  • System Resilience: Ensure systems maintain high availability, security posture, and resilience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Product Partnership & Execution

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work hand-in-hand with Product Management, Design, Operations, and Security leaders to translate company strategy into clear, executable technical roadmaps.
  • Execution & Velocity: Establish clear milestones, identify and resolve execution risks, and implement metrics to maintain predictable, high-cadence product releases.

What We Look For In You

  • Executive Leadership Experience: 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading multi-tiered engineering teams (50+ engineers) at the Director or VP level within high-scale product companies.
  • Technical Breadth: A strong background leading engineering in large-scale product environments, with the ability to engage with diverse technical disciplines, assess architectural trade-offs, and guide experienced engineering leaders.
  • Delivery Track Record: Demonstrated success driving complex, multi-team engineering programs to launch in fast-evolving, high-growth tech environments.
  • Domain Adaptability: Experience in high-availability, low-latency, or mission-critical domains (such as FinTech, SaaS, payments, consumer tech, or Web3).
  • Communication & Influence: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build consensus across business, product, and deeply technical teams.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package
  • L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
  • Various team building programs and company events
  • Wellness and meal allowances
  • Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants
  • More that we love to tell you along the process!
