About the role

Help deliver the road and transport infrastructure that keeps Queensland moving.

As an Engineer (Civil), you'll work with experienced engineering professionals to deliver road maintenance, construction and infrastructure projects across the Darling Downs region. You'll contribute to project planning, contract administration, construction supervision, stakeholder engagement and technical problem-solving, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your engineering and project management skills while working on projects that have a direct impact on local communities.

What you'll do

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver routine maintenance and infrastructure projects across the state-controlled road network.
  • Administer construction and maintenance contracts to achieve quality, safety and project outcomes.
  • Provide technical engineering advice and support throughout planning, design, construction and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor project performance, budgets, risks and delivery timeframes.
  • Analyse engineering data and materials testing results to inform decision-making.
  • Support the development of maintenance strategies, work programs and project solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, stakeholders and project teams.

What we're looking for

We're seeking a proactive and motivated engineer who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively and delivering practical outcomes. You'll have strong analytical skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic project environment.

Your ability to build relationships, communicate technical information clearly and contribute to project delivery will be key to your success.

Why join TMR?

At TMR, you'll be part of a team delivering infrastructure that makes a real difference to communities across Queensland. We offer meaningful work, professional development opportunities, flexible work arrangements and a supportive team culture where you can continue to grow your engineering career. Whether you're looking to strengthen your technical expertise, build your project management capability or gain exposure to complex infrastructure projects, you'll find rewarding opportunities with us.

Mandatory requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) accredited under the Washington Accord, or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • Current C class driver's licence.
  • Knowledge of TMR specifications and contract administration processes, or similar

experience within civil infrastructure delivery, will be highly regarded.

Applications to remain current for 12 months.
