About the Role
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor - Fixed Plant, the Electrician is responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of site-wide electrical infrastructure across surface operations, including the accommodation village. This role encompasses preventative maintenance, fault finding, repairs and installations, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant electrical infrastructure, dewatering systems and telemetry equipment.
- Conduct fault-finding, diagnostics, testing and repairs to maximise equipment reliability and availability.
- Complete inspections, identify defects and maintain accurate statutory, maintenance and asset records.
- Raise and manage maintenance work requests in Pronto, ensuring timely completion and effective cost control.
- Work closely with supervisors, operators and maintenance teams to deliver safe, efficient and compliant outcomes.
- Participate in pre-starts, risk assessments and the site call-out roster, while supporting continuous improvement and operational requirements.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Electrical Trade Qualification
- Proven Electrical experience on a mine site, preferably fixed plant
- Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
- Working at Heights and Cert 4 Instrumentation Ticketed highly regarded
- Sound understanding of Fixed Plant maintenance principles and their application in practice
- HV switching ticket
- Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations
